I was so stoked about this until I saw what they looked like. So that's from the headline to the picture.... about half a second I'd estimate.

The Red should've been maybe much more darker. Give it a Gears of War look more or less. Those colors just don't go with the system at all.

A metallic red would have been cool. I'm actually thinking about getting a Metallic Red paint and one of my controllers(I did Black before the Elite came out!).

the black accents on the red look awesome. u can count on a gears of war 2 themed console bundled with that guy for the holidays. if not, people will get it to match the game for that reason. the green is obviously for girls like the pink was.

I actually don't mind picking up extra colour controllers. When I had all the friends round playing SSBM on the gamecube, we all had different controllers so noone got mixed up, but I guess the ROL would eliminate that problem anyways.
I can certainly see the utility in the colors for that reason, but c'mon Microsoft, why the ugly Christmas theme? A light cobalt blue like the X button would be nice.
Man they're going to love these colors in Asia. I don't know why, but these bright colors are very popular over there.

What ever happened to variety? White is perfect for painting. Paint one of them Black(Vinyl Dye), and buy these both. Then you have ALL the colours.

No, you're definitely not. I really like both of these colors, and will definitely be picking them up. I already have both of the Halo 3 controllers and the blue one...never went for the pink though.

Neon green would've actually looked better than this... baby poo green. Oh well, someone will probably still buy these.

There are no black and white buttons on the 360. The black and white buttons have basically been replaced by the left and right bumpers.
As an aside, the 360 controllers are very easy to paint. Just use vinyl dye and they won't fade or affect the buttons at all:

It's overwhelming. The level of innovation from Microsoft for these controllers is just astounding. I expect massive lines of people worldwide for this release.

Wow how did they come up with these colors? First the red one comes with recharge kit it must be to match the RROD and to compensate for it also. And the green comes with less because of the low amount of 360's that actually work. Now saying this I'm a 360 elite owner had two actually, and the first day mine was plagued wit RROD. second one been working fine from day one. Including being thrown down a whole flight of steps, by a disgrunttled girlfriend

I want a new xbox(720or something) my 360 has been changed now about 21 times helpdesk actualy remebers my name so for Christnas I would rather have a xbox that will work forever then 2 new colors.
And to you Sony fans I will never buy a blurayplayer that also plays games and lookes like my fat aunt.

@ Mark, you do realize in the world of retail the holidays start a lot earlier than they day you give mommy your christmas list right? companies need time to get this shit on shelves and make people aware, not ALL consumers read engadget daily, or at all.

companies are in business to make profits, as the SKU says, they aren't here to make every little internet douche happy with every single product they produce. There are thousands of little kids who will love bright colorful controllers and whose parents will gladly fill microsofts pockets with cash.
