Keepin' it real fake, part CXXV: Touch Diamond gets aped sans luster
Not that we'd view the actual Touch Diamond as IF or anything, but the Diamond J6 is more along the lines of I3. In all seriousness, this thing isn't too far from being spot-on identical (maybe it's an HTC thing?), with a 2.8-inch display, built-in camera, multimedia player, Bluetooth and a microSD card slot. And for $160, we're almost inclined to fall in love here... almost.

Not to mention the box - wow those Chinese knockoff dudes are starting to really pay attention to detail...
Mic2000 @ Jul 16th 2008 3:05PM
Well, maybe its even faster then the origonal one, it's feels like a curse
blazinboy4ya @ Jul 16th 2008 3:11PM
if this is WM or even flashable, where can I buy?
Phoenix @ Jul 16th 2008 4:08PM
Look at the toolbar at the top. That's not WM. So hence NO.

Is there no such thing as copyright infringement in China?
forrest @ Jul 16th 2008 3:35PM
Actually, there's no "concept" of immoral infringement, as such. Like, y'know how people here consistently speed 10-15mph over the legal limit, and don't feel a bit bad about it? That's a good comparison to how the Chinese feel about the morality of copyright law.
TareX @ Jul 16th 2008 4:23PM
get off your white horse of morals for a while. If the US didn't have copyright law and enforcement, they'd be spinning off clones all over the place.
220v @ Jul 16th 2008 3:25PM
it's got twice as many SIM cards as the HTC
HAZE @ Jul 16th 2008 3:32PM
Has anyone ever gotten a phone from this site?
Here it is:

Mike @ Jul 16th 2008 3:41PM
It's a 2.8" screen, but only half the resolution as the Touch Diamond. I guess it goes without saying - FAKE!
jcro @ Jul 16th 2008 3:50PM
actually, it was said. That's kind of the whole point?
edzy @ Jul 16th 2008 3:54PM
125 that must be a official count since it is Roman Numerals
Kringla @ Jul 16th 2008 4:27PM
Hey! my Diamond Touch doesn't have an sd card slot :(
Kaiser-Machead @ Jul 16th 2008 4:28PM
And some people actually buy these things. Has anyone out there actually dealt with whatever customer service exists for these things, or do they just chuck 'em out when they stop working?
Andy @ Jul 16th 2008 6:31PM
I'd buy one if it ran Winmo. The micro sd slot makes this phone enticing.
Why HTC didn't include that into the diamond is beyond me.
Pengadget @ Jul 16th 2008 9:22PM
Will verizon get on this one? plz say yes... I am 1 reason away from dumping verizon for att.
Phoenix @ Jul 16th 2008 11:42PM
The Diamond is Taiwanese. And explain how it's a copycat?
Rahul @ Jul 17th 2008 12:28AM
Man, what is going to happen when they finally make really good operating systems for these fake phones. The main companies like HTC, Nokia, Samsung are going to be screwed...
David Phillipps @ Jul 17th 2008 6:50PM
if you go to the site (http://www.eemobi.cn/mobile/13/1666/6919.aspx) and look at more pictures you can see the other side. it even says htc innovation on it.
