This makes me happy that I got a 360 Elite 7 months ago.
wait was that sarcasm? cause why would u be happy?
If this has built in WiFi, that's hella news. :O
well unless the wireless reciever is for like connecting your zune wirelessly, but i thought they already had that?
"The site lists an HDMI output with upscaling DVD player, which is nice to see. Other than that, all else looks to be the same"
I would expect that the Wireless Reciever is for the controllers.
I don't think so, maybe your right but im thinking its a built in wifi reciever, we can only cross our fingers though
Wait,I can connect my Zune wirelessly?
You Mac idiots are just being sarcastic I hope. First off the DS and PSP already shatter your shitty little phone. Secondly, this discussion s about HD gaming on things a little bigger than a 3.5" craptacular screen. Lastly, your games library sux ass compared any one of the three consoles.
"but have an irrational fear of Amazon" What does that mean?
I've bought dozens of Blu-rays, an HDTV, 2 TiVo HD, and many other expensive items from Amazon and I'd rate them way above any retailers. Plus, their 30 days lowest price guaranteed. If you know what you're getting, Amazon is the best. If you're just toying around with something and are not 100% you want it, then buy locally, that way you can return it. Other than that, Amazon is the best. Circuit City being the worst.
IRRATIONAL is the key word there, buddy. Google a definition.
how about a 360gb hd in the system.....for all those movies i have to download....and games i put on the hard drive...
That's my only gripe with the 360 - the supplied HD (I have a 1 year old pro) is only 20GB. It probably isn't likely but hopefully the next iteration of Xbox will have an upgradable HDD, similar to the PS3.
since i recently upgraded my pc i'm probably going to wait and buy an xbox 360 on boxing day
While Microsoft clearly blew away the other consoles at E3...
...instead of changing the 20GB XBOX into a 60GB XBOX...
Why not charge REASONABLE prices for harddrives and/or allow legal upgrades to be done by oneself. The XBOX harddrive situation is ridiculous as they charge about double retail value of the harddrive itself.
Plenty of people would disagree with you there...
A FFXIII gloat, and a new dashboard with no release date, and not currently showing the adverts... Everything else Microsoft showed was old news,,,
At least 2 big news and tech sites are saying Sony had the better allround offering.

Why does Gamestop show a date of August 1, Amazon - August 4, and CC - August 6? Also, can anyone find a site the shows the true specs of the 60gb model? Would like to get a look at actual specs - and the true release date while at it.
we all know gamestop with its overeager dates. Amazon is second. Then there's everyone else.
Someone tell supersexyerik to stop being ignorant. Don't mean to bash but if u haven't done ur research, don't try to argue. Dont have anything to say, keep ur mouth shut.
For all you retards that responded to the Apple iphone comment,
DON'T FEED THE TROLLS.
Wales the iPhones games do suck ass but hey Macs are way better than pcs and that is reality!
or for 30 more or so dollars you can get a 80 gig ps3 with a blu ray player sounds like the better deal to me
30?! err. The 80GB PS3 with no backward capability is due out in september with a $399.99 price tag. I don't know how you did you math.
That aside, I agree with your logic. PS3 is a better deal for consumers who want an all-around machines that can combine your music, videos, games, and blu-ray movies. The HD era is here and you'll left in the cold having to buy an xbox 360 and a separate blu-ray player. Yes people, the next optical disc format is blu-ray whether you like it or not.
Only a HDD size swap, so will be as noisy and unreliable as the previous falcons.
Seriosuly, is anyone still actually buying Xbox, after being treated so badly?
So from the Amazon link there is still no wifi. All devices should have wifi out of the box. Microsoft get the hand out and bild it in to the box Thanks
@Erik
First of all it's Xbox not x-box. Secondly you are out of your mind if you're comparing a gaming console to a phone. Maybe in a decade or two a phone can render graphics and games like a console of TODAY, but the console of tomorrow will be better...
Why can't people agree that the Xbox is a great gaming console and the iPhone is a nice phone? There are more phone choices out there than gaming consoles anyway!
