Sony bigwig hints at GPS-enabled PSP games
Only John Koller knows how serious John Koller, Sony's senior marketing manager for PSP, was when mentioning that GPS-enabled games could eventually hit the PSP, but he definitely threw it out there. Speaking about the forthcoming GPS add-on for the PlayStation Portable, Koller stated that said module "changes the dynamics of GPS but also changes the way developers think about games on PSP, because you can start integrating GPS into it." He continued on by mentioning that Sony's own first-party studios were "already looking at a number of things [involving GPS in games]," and concluded by asserting that a GPS game could land on the system as early as next year. Considering just how long we've been waiting for the add-on, we're not holding our breath on the titles.

i dont see what's the point that Sony want to release GPS device for the psp, for god sake this psp is design for playing games!
Most people got standard battery life and in fact battey life is really suck....i bet GPS devices will eat up more power lol
If Apple where to release a cradle for the iPhone/iPod touch that fitted it with more battery, and Playstation-like buttons.. That would be a coup on the PSP and DS market!
I think thats not GPS, its GTA4 on PSP.
so if you see me chasing a little green guy rolling up buildings, that is just me playing the latest GPS enabled PSP game.
I like my PSP for all the puzzle games on those long trips or business lunch time breaks, but GPS seems like a throwaway no one will use. I like the PSP with its great bright screen, just don't like this idea...
so now i feel PSP even better then the iphone.
no kidding..even i can use skype on psp..how about iphone?
and GPS?
May be they'll try to get existing GPS games. An existing one is http://www.gpsmission.com - but this needs online access to work.
People create gps games for others online. At the moment it's played with a gps phone.
