Ripple rolls out Atom-based Mini Chocolate desktop

Atom-based desktops still aren't nearly as plentiful as Atom-based netbooks, but that equation looks to be slowly changing, with Korea's Ripple only the latest to join the fray with its new "Mini Chocolate" desktop. This one packs the usual 1.6GHz Atom processor into its Mini-ITX form factor, along with support for up to 2GB of RAM, four USB ports, two SATA sockets, and a single IDE socket, plus room for a slot-loading optical drive, which you'll have to supply yourself (along with most of the other components). As you can see above, you can also get it in your choice of three colors, with each setting you back 209,000 Korean won, or just about $200.

Is this were all the Atom chips are going? I cant get me a MSI Wind because f-ers like these are putting the chip in crappy little toys, meh.
iPhone!
I'd buy one if:
1) Its Poulsbo chipset (with HD acceleration) or failing that 945GSE but not the energy inefficient 945GC chipset - but they chose the shit chipset!!
2) It has Gigabit - anyone putting 10/100 on a machine these days should be castrated!
3) Its got a miniPCI-E slot or onboard 802.11n
4) It takes a 3.5in HDD
Anyone know any answers to Q2-4 ??
not only is it a poor and blatant rip off of the apple mini, the companies logo font is almost a direct rip off of the oldschool apple ][ logo

not even close. If you want to go there, you should have focused on
ripoff -off +apple -a = ripple. That would be harder to argue against.
Its just begging to run osx86 =)

$280 in savings over a base mac mini if you use linux.
Sounds like my next XBMC box, and so long as there's a warranty on the mobo and whatnot, I think I'm in if it ever comes around.

Seriously, it's like how the toys you used to get at MacDonald's are always some distorted size and shape from the original.
