Mojave Experiment goes live, doesn't fail to annoy

Update: We're hearing you guys loud and clear in comments. We'll admit, we hate senseless Microsoft / Vista bashing just as much as the next guy, and that's not what this is about. The problem here is Microsoft basically filmed itself an infomercial (or "pulled a Pizza Hut," as pointed out in comments) and is passing it off as some interesting experiment into FUD. If these users had been sent home for a week or so with a Vista machine -- or better yet, a copy of Vista to install themselves -- that'd be a whole different story, but they weren't. There was no scientific method in play, no control experiment, nothing. They were shown a 10 minute demo. That's it.

I am a Laptop User... In Fact I have gone thru 3 new Laptops in order to have vista running as it should.
Most manufacturer's video hardware is not up 2 par for a decent windows performance.
SOOOO I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THE ARTICLE!
YOU GUYS DIDN'T HAVE 2 GO THRU WHAT I WENT THRU....I SPENT ALOT MONEY AND IM PISSED... VISTA SUCKS WITHOUT A REALLY GOOD SYSTEM :P
Had to buy a top of line laptop to hav Vista running as it should.. Later on SP1 & a few driver updates & mem upgrade made one Laptop run better.. but thats was a dam pain in ass 4 something that should have run well from the start.
You guys gotta stop being so dam sensitive and fess up to THE FACT that vista is a slower, does what it wants, and doesnt run as good as XP!!
M$ didn't have to make it such a hog and didn't have to make it have so much driver issues.
100% BACKWARD COMPATABILITY SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUILT IN AT LEAST AS AN OPTION FOR SO MANY OLDER PROGRAMS AND HARDWARE THAT MOST COMPANIES RELY ON !!!! :P :P :P
MOST COMPANIES USE CUSTOM PROGRAMS NOT 100% COMPATABLE...
PAUL WAS RIGHT and you guys are whiners.
I use Vista everyday and can be a man to ADMIT it sucks more than XP but am spoiled and got used to the nicer interface and will still keep it running. Not that I had a choice anyway with a laptop...
I am not surprised that "Majave's" ratings are higher than vista's. Sure people are going to like an OS that they use for only 10 minutes, using software selected by the sales company. I work with an IT department that just switched to 802.1x and have seen more than a couple vista boxes "bricked" by trying to make them compatible with WPA-Enterprise encryption. XP, OX 10.4 and 10.5 have not had much of any problem with 802.1x configuration. You don't learn about these problems from a 10 minute carefully guided tour.
The entire point of this experiment was to show that people who claimed to "hate" Vista did not know enough about the operating system to know that they were looking at it. Think about that for a moment, thats staggering! That means they have never ever SEEN the O/S let alone used it! before having a harsh attitude about it.
I think it clearly demonstrates how much power the media has in this industry. Can anyone think of a product that they would "hate" without having even seen the product let alone used it?
