Logitech to produce "premium" Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments
If you didn't think every single third-party peripheral provider would try to snag a piece of the band game pie, we guess you thought wrong, huh? With outfits like Mad Catz and Ion already jumping in, it was only a matter of time before Logitech threw on its tightest jeans, blacked out its blond hair and threw up some horns. Details are admittedly scarce, but the company has promised to provide "premium instruments" for Guitar Hero: World Tour on PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii. Rockers can expect the new gear to start shipping "later this year," though prices, designs and pretty much anything else of importance remains a mystery.[Via NintendoWiiFanboy]

Speaking as someone who has completed GH:3 on expert (PS3), whats the need? The stock controllers are very good already.

Low Ranked for unneccesary bragging.
lowdef @ Jul 31st 2008 8:45PM
speaking as someone who has in fact seen the light, do you feel any regret investing all those hours you spent playing a guitar sim? maybe you should heed the loading screens and play a real guitar/ get a life...for me im content with my two real premium guitars.
John B @ Jul 31st 2008 9:05PM
@lowdef:
F**k you. Some of us who also play real guitars understand that one is a *game* and one it *not*. Apparently, your holier-than-thou, John-Mayer-esqe arrogance prevents you from differentiating between the two.

Ha, I finished it on expert with a keyboard on my PC.

Great another great product from logitech that will break in exactly 365 days or at the exact time a new version comes out.
Only thing this has not happened to is the xbox remote they made...which I love.
Steve T. @ Jul 31st 2008 8:47PM
That is because the remotes are made by Harmony. Logitech bought Harmony, but they are hands-off.

i always thought of logitech a step above companies like nyko and madcatz...am i crazy for thinking this?
SoreThumb @ Jul 31st 2008 9:13PM
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think normal controllers wear down quickly enough to require a 'premium' pad...
I mean, DDR is a different story altogether. :o

Left-handed guitar please! The whammy bar is a nuisance.
journey john @ Aug 6th 2008 2:01AM
lol, this is stupid, guitar hero world tours intruments looked good from the start (except i wish the pedal was metal like rock band 2's is). If the drums have a metal pedal then thats a start and full cymbals and not just 1/4th of a cymbal would be nice. the guitar looks fine, maybe a better whammy bar, mine broke, some idiot stepped on it, haha but it was in the position to whammy but there was a tiny bit of gap and kinda messe it up and i was using it and it broke, so one tat had no gap hhahaha, and maybe more realistic haha, the mic to have buttons haha, but they should have done that with the first ones, but now they look like there copying rock band and rock band 2 even more, if they get portable drums, then there definetly copying rock band 2 but yeh, and left handed guitars cause i have a lot of freinds that are lft handed and can't use whammy as fast.
