Netshare iPhone tethering app reappears in the App Store. Update: oh, it's down again.
Update: Yeah, it's offline again. This has really got to be drumming up sales, though. Well done, Nullriver. Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Something the iPhone has that WinMo phones don't: Multitouch. This is one of the main reasons I am probably going to get an iPhone. Before iPhone 3G, I was definately going to get a WinMo, something like the Tilt. But now that the iPhone has 3G AND GPS, I'm going with that. Tethering would be very nice to have. Even if I didn't use it, because the plan is so expensive, I'd like to be able to use it in the future if need be. Also, I think the reason it's so expensive is because their laptop connect plans are that price. Why would you sign up for a laptop connect plan if you could just get a phone with 3G and tether to your laptop? The laptop connect plans need to come down, and then we'll see the phone tether plans come down too.
Well ok...I got it to do something ...when I test the connection with proxy checker the iphone shows 1 connection for a short time then when the test is over it disconnects...but when I open SAFARI it asks me if i want to download some file. Anyone getting the same thing?

and only sometimes does the test work...other times it just fails. When it does work it's like it can't maintain an open connection. Maybe they'll come out with a Mac/PC friendly version soon.
:(
Biggest joke ever. It's not available again. Clearly nobody gives a darn because no one has said it is not there anymore. Null River thinks it's there. My guess is they have been sued or warned to put it to sleep.
well, maybe they are putting up a Mac and PC compatible version? one can hope...

hey, this works on PCs... right?
not just Macs?
"This app is not available in the US store"
Even though the application is only $10, I'm going to hold off until AT&T gives the green light to tethering on the iPhone.
However, I might get it earlier so that I could try it at the very least and see how well it works.
Missed it Thu night, but I grabbed it when it was reposted yesterday.
3G works very well and even EDGE connectivity is more usable than I expected.
should have got it while it was up.
heres hoping it will go back up again, would appreciate the updates engadget
Vista walk through please, anyone? I googled around and tried a few suggestions. It's not connecting so far. I can ping the iphone IP from the laptop but proxifier test fails and cant browse via firefox. I even tried a direct socks proxy setup via firefox with no luck.
If Apple doesn't put this up immediately I'm just going to jailbreak my iPhone!

NetShare status report 2
"We've finally gotten in contact with Apple. Looks like the lack of communication was due to automated e-mail systems being employed on both ends, which resulted in e-mails being lost in transit. We're working with Apple to get NetShare back up on the AppStore."
