allready downloaded it, right now its doing the backup, which probably still takes about 20mins or more. anyone got a list of the bugfixes and maybe features that were added?
20 minutes...if you're lucky. Mine's taken over an hour to backup. It's so lame! I seriously hope that's a 'bug' that gets fixed although I'm sure it's not and it won't.
I'm coming in a little late, but the little 'heard it on the internet' trick I did last time for the 2.0 firmware upgrade that helped speed up the whole 'back-up' process was to turn off 'sync' for music, photos, and video, as I use playlists and iPhoto libraries for controlling that stuff, then I sync-ed the phone before the clicking 'install firmware', which of course, empties the phone of all music, photos and video.
If you control your music via playlists instead of draggin'/droppin', your iphone will now only be 'backing up' a fraction of a full iPhone when you go for the 'install firmware' button.
This keeps the backup time down, but of course, once the install is finished, you do have to re-sync with all your playlists on again, loading all your media on, and that takes some time - but you're still avoiding the time added by pulling it all off to back up.
Just finished the 2.0.1 update and it helped my 'Contacts' sluggishness. Thank God. I was having depressing flashbacks of the good ol' days of usability before 2.0.
The phone has 256MB of RAM and a 1GHz processor, which do the job reasonably well, though the Anna interface will likely leave something to be desired for many smartphone users.
