Sorry to spoil the joy guys, but that HKD price is University subvented price (in other words: University will pay the difference for their students, which they get back through tax deducts or some other ways) , as seen in the picture.
The retail price is HKD 18032, which is roughly around USD 2300. So I think in the US price will settle around 2.5K, and the same in Euros in Europe. I know it sucks, but this is the reality.
if the X200 is going to retail for $1100 US in , how is the X200 tablet going to retail for $2500, you talking a $1500 market up for a tablet screen? i dont think so.

Are HK prices directly convertible to USD? European prices are definitely not (always higher in Europe).
