Motorola adds EM25, EM28, and EM30 to ROKR series
Moving just a tad downmarket from the mighty morphin' E8, Moto has rolled out three new members of its music-centric ROKR series today: the EM25 slider, EM28 flip, and EM30 candybar. The EM30 probably feels the most familiar, aping the E8's design language but trashing the touch-sensitive wheel for a plain ol' d-pad. It does, however, carry over the E8's so-called ModeShift morphing keypad and features an FM radio with RDS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Windows Media compatibility. The EM28 brings the same style to a clamshell, while the EM25 reps the slider form factor. We're seeing some shots of a T-Mobile branded EM30 in here, too, so it looks like the carrier wants something to slot in right below the E8 in its Moto lineup -- a wise move, considering the E8's considerable expense. Look for the EM30 to launch first in Taiwan (sorry, T-Mob) followed by other markets later in the quarter, while the EM25 and EM28 should launch on a more global scale in the coming weeks.

I don't think they are going to die anytime soon remember they have more to them then just phones. For example:

The Motorola Emergency Service radio system SUCKS. We have it here in Pennsylvania. All 800MHz digital. The radios are obscenely expensive AND its unreliable. Philadelphia county & Montgomery county both went down this month alone.
That and you can only buy Motorola radios at $5,000 a pop to use the system. Sure, its fun to see your friends on the MDT's from the tower triangulation and the emergency identifier is a nice feature. But, the Emergency Identifier is too easy to accidentally set off, so its like crying wolf now.
That and they have a major battery issue, where the radio shuts off and turns back on repeatedly. With the enunciator turned on, all you hear is "Fire Dispatch East, Fire Dispatch East, Fire Dispatch East" It's annoying. And I usually carry my radio around with me all day. Goes off in the bank, in the store, etc...
Motorola knows about the issue and still after a year, hasn't been able to fix it. The state fire commissioner was quite angry and a lot of the chiefs are ticked off.
Motorola is dead, long live Motorola.

They throw out 50,000 different phones and all of them suck.
You only need a few phones:
Low-End clamshell & Candybar
Mid-Range clamshell & candybar
Mid-Range smartphone
Hi-End smartphone touchscreen
Hi-End Smartphone QWERTY
Hi-End Smartphone clamshell
That's 9 phones.

can anyone tell me if this phone will work on the AT&T network, not just t-mob?
Cassini @ Aug 5th 2008 4:38PM
Wow. Moto's still holding tight to the ROKR moniker, eh?
Time to retire those types of monikers, Moto. They're tired, uninspiring, uncreative, and quite frankly, stupid now, especially considering that you've applied them to so many of your phones.

Will this phone crash Windows Media Sync too?
