Motorola Alexander gets pictured: WinMo 6.1, NVIDIA graphics, Q4 release
Surely that "last stand" Motorola handset is still burned into your memory, right? No? Anywho, said mobile was just given a face courtesy of Boy Genius, and it's an, um, interesting face at that. We'll let you be the judge on its unsightliness (or beauty, depending on inebriation level), but aside from design, we're expecting this one to include Windows Mobile 6.1, NVIDIA graphics, a 5- to 8-megapixel camera, A-GPS and a Q4 release date. As always, we'll be keeping an ear to the ground for more.

Holy mother of ugly!
I don't know what ya'll are looking at but this is the first piece of handheld sweetness I would go the distance to purchase. Curved keyboard would serve well I think and the recessed buttons don't look extravagent but I could dig em.
Keyboard looks like HTC/Audiovox PPC-6600. o.O
For a moto is damn sexy, but compared to other phones on the market it's just meh.... I mean, it's not the worst looking phone but its no beauty either. Priced right it will sell
are you guys insane? Its a good looking phone. simple design, and the keyboard rocks. Small buttons WITH WIDE SPACE BETWEEN KEYS means less chance of accidentally hitting an adjacent key. And it looks like the keyboard slides, which means form factor will likely be quite small. With a full keyboard.
Looks great to me.
I would have to agree, especially on the spacing between keys.
Alexander? As in "Jason Alexander"? (George from Seinfeld's actor name) :)
Is this WindowMobile 6.1 Pro? if so then the screen looks way too small. And why have the slide out keyboard, with a screen that small they could have stuck with the Q/BJII form factor and ended up with a thinner device.
Now, if it had a screen 2.8" or bigger on WinMo pro then this would make sense. It would be like the old sx66 form factor.
I thought that Moto went out of business? Oh, that's right, they are thriving on the success of innovative and beautifully designed products just like this!
Yeesh, this thing looks bad. It looks like that freebie piece of crap qwerty phone that Tmobile gave away a few years ago.
What a bunch of sheep.
That thing looks pretty cool. If the iPhone had a slider like that (and a better camera), then I might have jumped on board that ship already.
@skorpius, yes, they are sheep.
this one looks cheaper than those China phones in the market!! Motorola is doomed to die!!
Motorola are finished.
it looks like a smaller iphone to me, albeit one with a slide-out keyboard and more easily-pocketable curved edges.
I dislike fake metal highlights (assuming that's what they are) and I don't like slider phones, but I don't find the design particularly ugly.
A mobile with Windows and Nvidia
definitely keeping the warranty on this thing!
I can't tell from the shot, but if it is kinda wide and pretty short when closed, forget ugly: it'll feel like a delicate brick in your hand.
