Samsung i7110c breaks cover: business in the front, party in the back
No, no -- Sammy wouldn't dare dub this the Mullet, although we have a sneaking suspicion it would sell quite well here in the south if such a bold decision were made. Nevertheless, the i7110c (that's more like it, no?) has just been revealed, and while a great deal of mystery still surrounds it, we are told that it will likely boast a QVGA display, a navigational cube that acts as a cursor controller, 5-megapixel camera (with flash), microSD expansion slot, multimedia player, Bluetooth and an FM tuner. We must say, we're strangely attracted to the harmonious mix of business-like design cues and consumer-friendly attributes, though it would be nice if Samsung came on out and made this thing official.

Actually, it looks pretty good for a candy bar.
Techie @ Aug 5th 2008 8:29PM
What the hell you mean! This phone looks awesome. I just hope the front and back cover is steel plated =D.
alex @ Aug 5th 2008 12:56PM
Actually has a lot of the same features which made me love my N73 - discreet looks, but powerful features.
dagwud @ Aug 5th 2008 1:25PM
A QWERTY keyboard does not a business device make. Centros have them, and I know a number of business people who hate 'em.
Sergio @ Aug 5th 2008 1:59PM
Get a Diamond, nothing is as discreet and Powerful as Diamond the true sheep in wolf clothes.
John Doe @ Aug 5th 2008 2:32PM
it surely looks like one of those nokia's n-series phones
TareX @ Aug 5th 2008 3:54PM
@ Sergio
Well to tell you the truth, based on looks alone I'd prefer this phone over the Diamond. I don't know the Diamond seems a bit too delicate to my taste. It feels like a rich woman's phone to me.
I never though I have it in me to actually admire a candybar phone.

It looks like a Nokia 6300 Copy !

quag @ Aug 5th 2008 1:06PM
So, what exactly is it about this phone that makes it "business in the front"?
There is no qwerty keyboard, no mention of Exchange, Salesforce.com, VPN, or any of the other "business only" features found on other phones.
And what do you mean by "business-like design cues"? Do you mean the lack of garish colors and ass-tasstic plastic crap?
L @ Aug 5th 2008 1:14PM
Erm...it runs S60? And thus, supports Exchange and lots of other stuff...
And that "ass-tastic plastic crap" looks very much like metal to me, so I don't quite get your point.
naz @ Aug 5th 2008 1:30PM
it's a figure of speech
quag @ Aug 5th 2008 3:23PM
Please read more closely:
"Do you mean the LACK of garish colors and ass-tasstic plastic crap?"

I "Love" my Yellow Teeth.
Were the quotations really necessary in the ad....?
Ladderless @ Aug 5th 2008 1:31PM
Liquer in the front, Poker in the rear...
To each his own.
Down @ Aug 5th 2008 1:31PM
That phone looks too much like a Sony Ericsson.
Conda @ Aug 5th 2008 3:53PM

ridahgadgetguy @ Aug 5th 2008 1:40PM
looks like a pimped out Nokia 6300
Kobutah @ Aug 5th 2008 3:15PM
I really couldn't buy this phone after it being described as the mullet of phones.
As we know, the mullet sounded like a great idea, but there is nothing, but regret.
Danny @ Aug 5th 2008 3:31PM
It's like my N82 had sex with my K800i!
TareX @ Aug 5th 2008 3:51PM
I could honestly say this is the first time I like the looks of a Samsung candybar phone.
It looks beautiful. Especially the "flush" screen, which makes it look big.
Very nice.
eilegz @ Aug 5th 2008 4:06PM
looks like nokia phone which its nice
StevenN @ Aug 5th 2008 6:01PM
Looks a lot like my Nokia 6301. While my Nokia only has a 2 megapixel camera, it has Wi-Fi calling.
albi @ Aug 5th 2008 7:18PM
keep it real fake part amillion
Ruben @ Aug 5th 2008 9:44PM
Looks like the same optical navigation area like the Omnia.
The specs seem decent, and im glad Samsung is actually making something high-end in the candy-bar segment, since they have been lacking. But it is very K800i/W890 like.
