CherryPal $249 cloud PC delayed for a fortnight... or longer, maybe
Be honest here, you didn't even remember that the $249 CherryPal cloud PC was expected to ship this month last month. Reportedly, you'll be waiting a little longer for a PC you don't even know about thanks to a software quirk that isn't playing nice with a newer SSD. CherryPal is hoping to get the issue resolved and begin shipping the wee boxes within two weeks, though it does leave open the possibility for things to take "longer" as it slips into vaporware territory.

So it remains un-popped?
I'm soooo sorry.

im still waiting to see how they work Itunes integration. somehow i doubt this will sync with an ipod. however if it does work add a drobo or NAS and you have a nice low power appleTV server, which would be great. really apple needs to open up itunes enough to allow headless serving of content without an itunes client. i hate to run my computer just so i can watch one of my 200+ movies on my AppleTV.
it would be nice to integrate cloud computing localy. meaning that you run one server in your home and VNC or "screen share" from a low power device. i do it now with my mac book and mac pro. something to look into with the low cost low power atom desktops. i could place my tower in the basement and use it as a headless sever for application and file storage. seems to me that small scale/ AdHoc could computing would be much more reliable than having the cloud off site. could in the home could then me a steping stone for true cloud computing. really it's a lot for the average user to accept and a big risk for early adoptors when/if this thing flops.

it isn't that surprising considering that "cloud" is actually somewhat condensed "vapor"... when you throw heat on it...

I can't believe I'm the only one truly excited about this CherryPC, especially the part where it has two usb2 ports and such low power consumption.
Doesn't this thing just scream cheap torrentbox or are you all tenting in your pants for the next drm-infested pay-for-play video streaming store.

I emailed them to see if they'd ship to the UK. They couldn't be bothered to reply so I'm not going to bother to buy one!

this company doesn't look too healthy considering the website is a server address without a domain name.
