I have the DXG-595V and its amazing for the price! I'm still trying to figure out how this one costs so little and does so much. I know a dude with a similar 'brand name' HD camcorder that he spent about $1000 more for and the quality is just as good. His has more features here and there like a touch screen or whatever but the video/audio quality is the bottom line and the DXG did just as good a job. ...and the stills are AMAZING too. Truthfully I think it takes better stills than my Fuji camera! I bought it at B&H for $199. Get it!
I agree with DJ. I had very low expectations of this camera. The samples looked terrible on my PC (pixellated even as stills, lots of motion artifacts and poor resolution)--but that was because the quicktime player does a terrible job on the PC platform. I was amazed when I finally got my unit. The bundled software allows smooth, hi-res playback and the detail and color are excellent in good light. Some macro movies I made of insects were breathtaking projected at 1080p on a 120 inch screen.
This is the best $178 (thanks, Wal Mart) I have spent in a long time!
"I'm looking to grab a new phone using a prepaid service. What's the best prepaid phone service in terms of overall price, phone selection and other bells / whistles. Thanks!"
