Nerds race across Azeroth IRL, nearly die from shame
Let's try not to read too much into this one. Here are the facts: two dweebs thought it would be a good idea to hook up treadmills to their PCs, don brightly-colored wigs and cardboard swords, and race their avatars across about a mile of virtual turf by jogging in place with only a modicum of coordination and zero athletic ability. The folks at Mana Energy Potion were complicit in the event, which failed to prove treadmill gaming is a good idea, but made great strides in proving just how low World of Warcraft addiction has brought certain members of our society. Video is after the break, we recommend you look away.

That was at Mustaine BTW
3Z3VH, I agree, +1
Meant to be a reply, sorry.
I see you're one of THOSE players who also happens to play a Kalgan lovechild. Is "Covert recruiting" the new term for poaching these days?
Oh, and enjoy replacing your BT/Hyjal loot with quest greens and rep grind items.
4 years playing, 3971 lifetime kills and 1377 3v3 rating...high five!
Thanks for the laugh Rugar.
I think it's pretty funny and great initiative. Initiative for what I don't know, but it's cool they're having a good time with it. And I say this not even being a video game player!
I did a similar thing, only using motion trackers on my feet, a Wiimote, and a 16 foot wide screen.

If they made video games that were like this where you really had to run, especially first person shooter like games, I would definitely buy the systems and set up my living room to allow this to be played. I think it'd be fun. And especially after ~ 10 frags, only the strong will survive!
These guys look like they could use some time on the treadmill. Props for them finding their inspiration.
Yea... had me lauging pretty hard.. For one World of Warcraft.
Two.. one of those guys looked like he lifted weights regularly.. But it seems like he forgot to work on the cardiovascular portion of the workout lol.
Too great.
that was a kickass idea!!!
but sad considering how geeky you have to be to like this!
and I'm a huge geek, but this is just bad on so many levels,
I'd rather go to purgatory then sit through that video again!
Meaningless.
At least they got some exercise.
That sword is not cardboard, its plastic. I've had that sword since I was 5 and I recognize it when i see it.
