On the audio front, Philips just launched a pair of Network Music Players, the NP2500 and the NP2900. They're color-screened followups to January's monochrome
NP1100, and the NP2500 does audio out (including coaxial digital audio) just like is forebear, while the NP2900 (pictured) includes built-in speakers. The players work with internet radio, your PC's music library and some online music services like Rhapsody. No word on price or release date.

Is there any information bout whether it will stream from a NAS?

"The players work with...your PC's music library."
I would think that means that if you set up the NAS so your PC sees NAS+ partionX as a single logical volume, then you're set.

This "no price or availability" think seems to be a bad theme that is getting more and more popular with companies. If you can have something good enough to show off, do they really not have an idea of pricing?

because they know engadget will pimp them regardless

Is it battery powered? Where is the power cord?

If this isn't a DLNA approved product I could care less.

Just to answer to all question raised here :
* It will stream from NAS if NAS are UpNp compliants.
* If your NAS is UpNp compliant, it will be seen as a UpNp server.
* It is not battery powered. There is a power cord.
* It will be DLNA compliant.
On top of that, display is rather nice and the sound really great !!!
