When I first read the title I thought of human cells 0_0 Wonder how awsome it would look if you hooked a Ps3 up to that bad boy since it has a cell processor(or what ever game rig of your choice cus I don'T want to start a flame war)

If this looks better than the current 46" model in screen image quality, that would be pretty amazing!
Toshiba really are still hurting about HD-DVD...Not to say that top quality upscaling isn't a good addition though
How has this anything to do with HD DVD?
Its all to do with upscaling SD content, it has nothing to do with the format.
I'm sold on this TV already, now hurry up with this pricing Tosshy!
@maty,
r3loaded means that Toshiba lost money on the HD-DVD vs. Blu-ray sales. He means they're hurting as a company.
I'd definitely like to see this go higher than 1080p, however.
I really like the form-factor.
Nice job by Toshiba.
Anyone know how a 100Hz 5:5 pulldown provides any benefit? 120Hz, I'd understand.
This is for Europe. 120Hz for US and 100Hz for Europe.
This blog post picture reminds me of Rush's Test For Echo album cover.
I noticed that too, but judging from your avatar, you'd be the one to point that out. :)
Boy, toshiba really WANTS to go broke? :) Give it up and go Blu-ray!
Ironic that Toshiba makes the Cell processors for Sony that go into the PS3.
Can it play crysis?
Edge enhancement. Yuck! If anyone has seen what EE does to your picture, they'd think twice before enabling it.
Let's see it run the HQV benchmark next to a Silicon Optix scaler. The PS3 also has a cell processor, and it's upscaling is good but is not the best.
I’m looking forward to what this TV can do.
So far, Toshiba’s LCD tv’s have received some great reviews.
Sound and Vision included one of the Regza models as one of their best techs.

"a true upscaling TV, finally getting rid of the middle man for upconverting those SD sources"
Are you kidding me? You should learn what upscaling / upconverting is before writing that crap. Every digital TV upscales SD to its native resolution. Toshiba thinks they have a "better" upscaler but we will see.
