Super Nintendo controller table signals a trend
Remember that fad where everyone had dining room tables of their favorite Disney character? Or the age in the 70s where tables were shaped like lava lamps? No? At any rate, the modders over at SCAD Inc. have spent all summer crafting a fully-functional Super Nintendo controller-table, which reminds us an awful lot of the fully-functional NES controller-table we saw in May of this year. So, which geek is gonna take on the N64 controller table? Or better yet, the Virtual Boy?

I'd tap that ish rite there!
I'm holding out for the Zapper. Why use a puny little sidearm when you can have a fully functional cannon? :)
With Nerf gun attachment to be "fully" functional.
One of the true signs of a player/bachlor. Wonder of the same can be done with a PS3 or xbox 360 controller?
Or Wii...lol.
Yeah a Wiimote would make a great bar!
I'm gonna make a dual shock 3 table, estimated time of completion. Next Summer. a WORKING ONE AT THAT.
Already working on a giant working PSP with my 40inch sammy lcd.
THIS would be baller as hell.
what's the point of a nonportable playstation portable?

Irony.
See i won the original PSP2TV system and that is how I am going to run my connecetions to my psp, well its the main for video. I just wonder how I am going to make the buttons and the shoulder buttons. I'll figure it out but it will be exact to scale.

Why So Serious?
i want to play that.
I think the analog stick might just get in the way a little too much.
how about a super famicom controller too........lol
I'd rather have a working Nintendo DS or PSP table.
Using a 60" Pioneer Kuro for the PSP's display,. would be freaking awesome!
Anyone want to donate a few grand and a huge injection mold? I'd make the N64 one :)
An N64 one would BLOW MY MIND.
this is just sad, i don't know what else to say.
Well not all of us get to spend 24/7 curing AIDS and cancer or whatever useful thing you must do with your life to have any say in how this guy spends his free time.
hmmm.. a giant N64 controller wouldn't make a very good table. At that point, you're just wasting space.
The Wii controller would work as a table, if it didn't have to be wiggled and tossed around. You'd need a group of friends to play a game with that thing. What other flat controllers would serve as good tables?
I can see a dualshock being an okay table... but all other controllers I can think up of off the top of my head would be too rounded and wouldn't be able to have things on top of them, and TBH - the dualshock wouldn't sit flush with the ground anyways, the top of it would be tilted.
Haha, an N64 controller table would be almost as user-unfriendly as the controller itself.
you could make an atari controller endstand where you use the joystick as a flower vase er somethin gay like that.
No — but it WOULD make an awesome futuristic racing car body! :D Think Star Wars Episode I Racer, F-Zero, or Wipeout XL.
Just a note, it isn't completed. Currently just the controller/tabletop is done, no legs yet.
Still sweet though!
genesis.....
How about an intellivision/colecovision controller table? with ENORMOUS inserts!
We need a Virtual Boy large enough to fit your standard Bob's Big Boy.
come on where is virtual boy?

AWESOME.
What is that nasty stained cushion thing it's sitting on? GROSS!
You can see it in action (Video) on my blog : http://www.nowhereelse.fr/?p=10283
Thats awesome!
I always grew up using the ASCII Pad though. Also I've wondered why the US release only uses two colors for the ABXY buttons, while the Japanese release uses 4 colors?

dont talk shit about the virtual boy. that thing is great. i still play mine.
Cool. Lets push the start button!
50 quid says the guy that built it can't pull off a strong dragon punch with that thing!
I bet playing Star Fox would rock with that controller.
