Panasonic's HDC-SD100 HD camcorder does the review thing
Surely you remember Panny's new duo of camcorders that featured the so-called 3MOS technology. No? At any rate, Panasonic's HDC-SD100 has just been reviewed by the cool cats over at TrustedReviews, and while we're not sure if all that MOS was the reason for its success, critics were generally pleased with the performance (at least in good lighting). They noted that point-and-shoot fans would likely be thrilled, but the professionals in the crowd will probably wish for a few more manual controls. Still, at the end of the day, reviewers proclaimed that if you've been "holding out for an AVCHD camcorder with the full gamut of professional features, this could be your dream come true at last." You hear that? Dream come true, son.

I like all the labels on the side, sorta like a NASCAR car
@law
just hope then that it doesn't take you for a ride.........or make you run around in circles.
Just hit the handy "reply" button next time.
Ugh, the 3MOS part looks vaguely like the Spiderman font. That angers me.
What is the best HD consumer point and shoot camcorder?
Canon HF10/HF100 are one of the top consumer HD right now.
I believe HF11 just came out, so the price of the HF10 should be getting more attractive.
Sony HDR-CX12 and Canon HF10/11/100. Though the internets hates Sony and pretends it doesn't exist :)
3MOS = 3 CMOS sensors?
Does this suffer from rolling shutter artifacts? If so (and I suspect it does), how badly?
I wish reviewers would do better image quality testing.
I just wish any of the companies making HD camcorders would make one that is water, and sand proof.
Just bought canon's HF100, and returned it. The AVCHD codec is completely useless. Why don't they wise up and just use h.264?
That's funny! I have a Canon HF100 and love it! I burn HD DVDs that blow me and my friends away! Every time I view the videos that I create, I cannot believe how much HD detail that I captured.
I can't believe that someone would return such a perfect camera. What was the problem?
