USB anion humidifier soda can confirms you shouldn't be allowed to have a credit card
Worried that retailers might be running out of utter crap to sell? Been looking for that perfect accessory to go with your "You don't have to be crazy to work here, but it helps" sign? Enter the USB-powered, soda can-shaped anion humidifier. Not only will this magical and totally necessary device clean the air around you and re-energize your fat, lazy body, but it will look cool while doing it -- you know, just sitting there being all soda-can-badass. When you absolutely, positively can't find anything else to do with $24.99, the "Portable Can Shape USB Office Home Miniature Anion Humidifier" is there.

for a second i thought this was a DIY job, anyway it looks cool. just a shame if it had diffrent design, like a cola or Dr peper can.
maty @ Aug 31st 2008 2:34PM
Its fairly easy to DIY anything with a USB cable; 4 wires, just cut the data cables (usually white/green), keep the power cables (5v, black and red usually). Use some electrical tape and splice it on to anything of your own design!
I expect its probably reasonably easy to mod this to your own choice of can, but that doesn't look lke a "nomal" drinks can, so I 'unno. The label around the side does look added on, you could probbaly rip that off and stick your own one on. Who knows?! The possibilities are [almost] endless!

I think the guy who wrote this article is a douchebag...his lazy ass prolly doesnt even have to leave the bed to write these articles and spout his mouth off..only thing worse than paying big mouth douchebags like him to write stupid articles like this is paying cops to harass the crap out of you for stupid shit like windshieldwipers

Samboini @ Aug 31st 2008 11:15AM
Knowing full well my lazyness is resoundingly immense, what the hell is a "anion humidifier"?! The same as a standard dehumidifier?
ammisan @ Aug 31st 2008 11:20AM
It's a typo- It's actually an "Onion humidifier"
You know, to magically (via USB) keep those tear-producing wonders all fresh and crisp in your fridge 30 miles away at home.
Samboini @ Aug 31st 2008 11:47AM
Fail.
Lazy =/= retard.
Wolfticket @ Aug 31st 2008 11:49AM
It doesn't use heat, it uses some sort of ultrasonic witchcraft, or so I gather.
aurispector @ Aug 31st 2008 11:19AM
This is a great idea if you work in a climate-controlled desert-dry hell-on-sinuses cubicle. Plus you can cut up a beer can to wrap around it. Where's the downside?
Zinger314 @ Aug 31st 2008 11:19AM
It's a CAN! of PURE AIR!
TavisJohn @ Aug 31st 2008 11:48AM

Someone should mod this to spray out secents that smell like soda for ex. orange or grape. Better yet someone should pull a Ben heck and mod it to play games or something. Personally the scent one is easier to do. Who likes orange soda, Kel likes orange soda!
Richard @ Aug 31st 2008 12:25PM
Kel died a few years ago of acute orange dye #7 poisoning, one of many victims, leading to a recall of Sunkist and other brands for a few weeks while they changed the recipe. He literally drank himself to death on that stuff, making your comment both insensitive and not funny.
*Statement above not backed up by facts.

Well, that just kinda opens all kinds of doors, doesn't it...
Fray @ Sep 2nd 2008 6:53PM
"Produces active oxygen molecules"
The chemist in me is producing possibly lethal amounts of "wtf?" over this one.

I wonder how many have been thrown away.
johnny_toes @ Sep 1st 2008 2:34AM
Hmmm.. For start I would have go with some kind of joint venture with a [write here your preferred beer name company] and sell six packs =)
However instead of an air purifier, I would make it a 1tb hard drive (for each can) therefore I will be selling a 6tb pack that might be used as a NAS and might connect wired or wirelessly to the local network as well via USB for fast data recording.
This will not make your NAS look better and cooler, but also will make you look less geeky (nothing bad with it either)
dave lemke @ Sep 1st 2008 8:19AM
This qualifies for the #1 crap-gadget of all time ... especially after reading the box description.
I laughed so hard I think I hurt myself.
