Hands-on with Hitachi's 1.5-inch thick plasma prototype
Hitachi's 1.5-inch thick 50-inch plasma wasn't exactly front and center like we had imagined, but it was there garnering stares nonetheless. Donning a glossy white finish and displaying nothing but floral arrangements, the set looked pretty good (though not great) in terms of visual quality. The design, however, was simply stunning. And just as promised, we did include the obligatory iPhone comparison, though you'll have to account for the Belkin skin when drawing your conclusions. Give it a peek in the gallery below.

Mr. Blurry Cam, bring me a dream!

Jedesmal wenn einer einen Fernseher von der Seite fotografiert, ist das Bild voll mit komischen Menschen, Pflanzen etc.
Ich kapier nicht wo der Reiz an der Seitenansicht eines Fernsehers ist.

Boo to iPhone comparison, Yay to this Tv... Anyone want a Panasonic Viera 42"?
Why waste money on plasma garbage when laser tv's are about to hit the market? Laser tv's blow plasmas and lcd's away. Twice the vibrant colors and richness at half the power.
Sounds like plasma and lcd manufacturers are trying to flood the market before lasers arive next month.
It is NOT obligatory! Why are you people convinced that we like seeing your iPhones held up to random TVs, blu ray players, and - assuming you have a porn related sister site - penises. We get it, you're trendy.
