The amount of electronics thrown away rather than recycled in 2007.
The EPA reports that 82% of electronics disposal in 2007 ended up in the garbage (mostly landfills) rather than a recycling center. (source: EPA, July 2008)

Why waste money on plasma garbage when laser tv's are about to hit the market? Laser tv's blow plasmas and lcd's away. Twice the vibrant colors and richness at half the power.
Sounds like plasma and lcd manufacturers are trying to flood the market before lasers arive next month.
