LG PRADA II to include WiFi, even more pretension?
Looks like LG wants some bite to back up the PRADA II's bark -- assuming both the device and its specs are real, of course, since we've been basing everything we know about Lucky Goldstar's rumored fashion monster on rumors thus far. The latest word on the street has the phone packing a what's-what of good things, ranging from a 5-megapixel autofocus cam, wide QVGA display (with capacitive touch, we can only imagine), HSDPA 850 / 2100, motion sensing, an FM radio, and a WiFi radio for those poor US souls who find themselves surrounded by more 1900MHz 3G than 850. It certainly all sounds real enough -- not as revolutionary as the first PRADA may have been, but a solid upgrade. While we're waiting for LG to sort this business out in a slightly more official capacity, we'll be working on the Armani, we s'pose.

I like the keypad. But that thing probably cost 4 arms, a leg, and a new born.

After the mail-in rebate. ;-)

You get the 2nd leg back on the mail in rebate... little use it'll do you tho

I'm sorry. Apple's iPhone is as much a technological breakthrough as SONY's PSP. Right now, nothing even comes close.
if Apple improves their keyboard with tactile feedback and a decrease of the dead zones around the edges, it will be a perfect 5 stars and the Prada will be seconds.
Mikeweezer @ Sep 5th 2008 2:15PM
better than them taking a third leg I suppose.

The iPhone is so crappy it will most likely kill itself.
Russ @ Sep 5th 2008 12:59PM
even more penetration? hmm..
...that's what she said

Actually, she said "that's ok, it happens to a lot of guys."

How does this compare to the upgraded Viewty?
I read about it on Engadget a few days ago and I must say I'm really impressed with it. It looks a lot sexier than the Prada from the front. But it doesn't have a keypad I'm guessing?
Also in terms of it's touch screen will it be multitouch like the iPhone and have capacitive feature?
Sorry for comparing it to the iPhone but I just happen to think the iPhone has done a lot of things really well as opposed to the other wannabes. I'm not saying the iPhone is perfect but it damn sure is a step above the rest when it comes to interface, sexiness, and the idea of the app store.
I'm kinda interested in the Touch Pro or Xperia X1 but the more I see of the newer Viewty the more intrigued I am.

"...Lucky Goldstar's rumored fashion monster ..."
I once had a Lucky Goldstar microwave. It wasn't a fashion monster.
I was just thinking about their old moniker and wondering why we hadn't heard the tacky phrase in awhile.
HAHAHA, Chris.

Owning an iTouch made me want a real keyboard.

I can already see Verizon killing all the cool features this phone might have.
