wow.what kind of retard is going to spend $15,000 on a cd player? especially one plays a dead format? seriously, even if this thing were made of solid gold, it still wouldn't be worth $15,000. no cd player is.
That's exactly what I came on here to say. It doesn't make any sense, even for a high end audiophile, to pay that kind of money for a CD player... especially when you can play the format on a Blu-ray player.
I really just don't get it.
Goldmund is even worse. They sell a SACD player for $50,000 and even sell turntable for $300,000. A TURNTABLE! For that kind of price I would expect them to build the house that the system sits in. I can't wait to see how hilariously expensive their Blu Ray player is. Clearly there are enough rich audiophile/videophile retards out there to keep these companies in business.
one of my neighbors has a very high end setup and when he plays a cd versus a record, the record blows the cd out of the water for quality. the sound is so much better. i never thought i would be able to hear it but i can. it's not just me either...non techie nerds have sat in front of that thing and have been blown away by the quality of his setup.
