Yes, it seems like some kind of crazy dream, but Apple's big

Perhaps they will announce that they finally not what the f--- is going on with the 2.0 firmware. I've got an iPod touch which has crashed and burned 6 times, including this morning, during an application install. Restore hell. Again. I think it's safe to say that the 2.0 firm is a complete disaster. Mind you, I love my iPod touch and I'm completely addicted to the 2.0 firmware because of the AppStore, but it still is a complete disaster. Love-Hate. They unleashed it way before it was ready. I just don't see how installing an application (an APPLICATION I said!) should ever crash a device dead. That doesn't happen in OS X and it shouldn't happen on the OS X running iPod Touch/iPhone. Shades of Microsoft with the Xbox 360, though in this case it's the software and not the hardware which is garbage. Worse, the Apple techs seems to want to blame it on "rogue" 3rd party apps. Sorry, but whatever the reason for the install crash, it shouldn't fubar the iPod touch.
Lets see your iPod classic do this:
Sync wirelessly
Tune into FM radio without an accesssory
Download podcasts direct device
Share music with other iPods
Why do the Apple fanboys fail to realise that the Zune is not competing with the iPod touch, but the Classic? It's like comparing a family van with an Lambourghini, they do the same thing, but in a very different way, and for different reasons.
The Zune is a Audio and Video player, pure and simply, it's designed to play music, well, play videos well, and have some extra features that may come in handy.
The iPod Touch, on the other hand, is a convergence device, with installable applications, fully-funtioning web browser, and other such things, it's designed to do everything, however good or bad (I'm not going to try to get into a flame war here). Music and videos are simply one of many features it has, and doesn't come first, more on a same level as everything else. Purly music funtionality is the position of the Classic, which is why it has a big hard drive, and the basic clickwheel interface.
Do you understand me, THE IPOD TOUCH AND ZUNE WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE COMPARED.
Hopefully they improve the bloated OS on the iphone as well as their bloattunes software. I haven't seen anything this laggy in years.
Hey when can you see the keynote/event on a video? I don't wanna get spoiled down to my toe with titles from engadget explaining the hole event in two words like last time when iPhone 3G was released. I will not make the same mistake again! Any link? Thaaanks
i am excited about iTunes 8, and i also found this small blog doing live coverage of the event.
