iPhone 2.1 software update announced (update: $10 for some iPod touch owners)

P.S. No mention of copy and paste.
Update: 2.1 will be available for iPod touch owners for $10. Come on, you didn't really expect it to be free did you? There's a "buy now" button at the end of that link but it only downloads v2.0 at the moment.
Update 2: Fine print says free to those who paid for iPod touch 2.0 update. Lucky you. [Thanks, Foad]

Never mind. Guess it is free for folks who purchased the 2.0 upgrade.
Maybe 2.1 is just a bug fixing update and preparing the iphone for update 2.2 which will include a load of new features. Apple should probably fix all the bugs and stuff first so that the thing runs perfectly. Then they can add all the features, cuz wats the point of having a bunch of new features if they barely work. Let apple fix the iphone then let them "wow" the users with the next big update.
If I sell my Ipod to somebody will they loose the $20 value in updates I've already spent on the thing?
A lot of you iPhone owners (that includes me) seem to have forgotten the massive uproar that came with Apple releasing the App Store, along with the iPhone AND (yes, both!) iPod Touch updates on the same day, causing... Well... Chaos.
They won't make that mistake again, even if it means making iPhone owners wait a two days.
i could care less about copy and paste....give me MMS! my sony ericsson z510a had video messaging! come on guys.....were talking about 2001 features here, for a company who has done so much in technology leaving that out is puzzling to me
