DevTeam releases PwnageTool and QuickPwn 2.1, wants to rumble

With firmware 2.1 now out for the iPhone and iPod touch we bring you the inevitable PwnageTool and QuickPwn response. Apparently, the DevTeam took offense to a previous posting where we questioned the relevancy of continued jailbreaks in the age of the AppStore and official, worldwide iPhone distribution.

So, we'll put it to you dear reader: as much as we respect these guys for their gen-1 iPhone unlocking and pre-AppStore era work, is PwnageTool and the ability to jailbreak your phone still as important as it was?

Update: By a three-to-one margin it's clear that you still love your Pwnage! As such, we'll continue to cover the DevTeam's exploits just as obsessively as before.

Apple did a lot of restrictions in the dev toolkit. Some of these restrictions are, to force us to accept operators bonds.
Jailbreak brings preasure to apple - if there wouldn't be a jailbreak we would have even more restrictions. Example: German Telekom forced SIPgate to offer their iPhone Sip Solution by court. A solution like this will never be in the app store because operators do a lot of preassure to apple.
Te question do we need two installers would be okay - Cydia does even more then installer - and one installer is enough but
we need the jailbreak

I use jailbreaking because I'm on a limited income and I can't afford the $99 per year that Apple requires for a developer certificate.

I use jailbreaking because I do things with my phone (use it to control a recording console located in another room) that Apple won't certify.

I use jailbreaking because I disagree with the abuse of cryptographic signatures to extort money from those who Apple wants to bleed the last bit of life's blood from.

I use jailbreaking because it's the only way I resist the temptation to shove my iPhone 1.0 down Steve Jobs's throat.

I am disgusted by Apple.

What the hell? If I couldn't hack my phone, it would be completely useless to me. I don't care about the crapp store or any of the software in it.
