That's one seriously cheap looking camera - reminds me of one of those "pretend" SLRs from the late 90's. Shame on you, Canon, I know you can do better than this..
Actually, it's the same design they've used for this series of cameras for years. Definitely a cheap multi-function consumer camera that doesn't hold a candle to the quality of an SLR (and I love my three-year-old version, it makes great stereo SD movies and has an amazing zoom -- just don't ask it to perform in low light, unless you love noise).
