XPERIA X1 gets examined in-depth on video

Sony Ericsson itself showed off its XPERIA X1 handset in a webcast the other day, but if you just can't get enough of it (and, judging from the number of comments the phone has gotten, plenty of you can't), you may want to hit up the::unwired website, which has an even more extensive hands-on video of a pre-production unit. Among other things, it shows that switching from portrait to landscape mode takes far less time than before, and the all-important panels seem to be a good deal more responsive as well -- the build being used is from early September, so it should be a reasonable indication of what the final software will be like. Hit up the link below to check out all sixteen minutes of it for yourself.

If I were I wouldn't consider the G1. It's the first of many Android phones that are to come. Hold off if you want an Android phone because every phone will out perform the last probably by a large margin.
Also I think we can all agree that the G1 is not the prettiest girl around the block. Patience my friend, patience.
I've never used a WinMo device, so I can't really comment on the device more that to me seeing the 'regular' Windows Mobile interface poking out here and there in contrast to Sony's UI slightly breaks the illusion of a seamless, 100% innovative device. In fact, it's the same with all the new HTCs and Samsungs - the interface seems a bit non-optimized and apparently requires a lot of work to be gracefully hidden. Couldn't it be possible to at least re-skin the Windows 95-ish interface lurking behind the flashy interface?
i think i will buy this phone because this phone is the one use active panel system with arc slider design and i can download many active panels in SE website continuely so i never get boring with X1 then i can add many applications in a panel. Each panel has differ catagory, Developer, design ect.X1 has 256MB RAM but i heard from X1 webcase presentation it will be 384MB RAM or something so you can imangine how fast x1 is..with WVGA resolution quality can help VGA video, camera picture, browsing to be more effective, sharper and clean...
i believe that HTC will release many phones soon after HTC touch HD and still use 3D touch floo or better OS so why i should buy HTC HD...X1 active panels is unique and iam not sure SE will use the system again so i will buy x1 first
