Adapt's ADPP-100 pocket projector shown on video
Another week, another pocket projector sighting. In an attempt to get known before it gets buried by the hundreds of alternatives sure to pop up here in the coming months, Adapt has hosted a short video of its mX ADPP-100 mini projector. Said beamer features LCoS technology, a rechargeable battery, an SD card slot, inputs for "almost any device," and the ability to project a 50-inch image (however blurry) onto the wall. Not much else is known right now outside of that, but you can check it out in action just after the break.

Can it play doom?
Can you say XMB rip off and craptastic music....
The site you are linking to, aboutprojectors, is some sort of preformed astroturf haven. Check out their forums with lots of posts talking about how awesome the site is, with the same "Steve" response on each of them and his post count never changing. Engadget shouldn't link to swill like this.
that's great, as the video shows you can project a crisp screen almost as big as an average laptop.
Exactly! About the size of a laptop and far worse resolution than a cheap laptop. So what's the point. You could just as easily place your laptop on a table and let people vew content on the laptop.
The idea of a projector is to creat an image alrge enough to be enjoyed by a large group or to creat an movie experience. This projector does neither. Waste on money as far as I can tell.
I could see lots of uses for a small projector. Especially when I travel. Now if I could get a good pocket gaming system to go with it I would be set.
Gaming system? Not much a chance yet. But this might do.

As I said not gaming at all!
i wonder what the contrast is like with this technology? with my normal not so old projector, when there are extreme whites or darks, you cant see detail. just as a dark scene in a movie, it can get to the point where you cant see anything.
Did anyone else see the title as saying "Pocket Protector?"
No? Just me?
I think it can definately be a great gift to my niece for Christmas! I just find out on their official website that the product name shoud be ADPP-101. http://www.adapt-mobile.com/multimedia/detail.php?p_id=425 Can't wait to get it soon!
