T-Mobile's September 23rd Android event: we'll be there live

Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
can't wait! glad to hear you guys will be there too!
snag some phones to give away please!!!! lol.
Cool. I hope you do Live Blogging. Waiting for the event !
And, for the first time in my engadget life, i'll know what it feels like to be an apple fanboy, refreshing madly. I've always wanted to know...
You need to reassess your actual life now that you've identified that you have an "Engadget life."
Hahaha.
I was going to join Second Life, but this was cheaper.
I find it interesting that people are fans of something that they have never seen, touched or understand
like gravity?
I've seen it on video, and on the android site. I haven't personally touched it, but the reviews are positive, whether it be from hands-on or the developer emulator. And what's not to understand? It's open source, made by google, supported by a huge development group, and gives a less legal-nitty-gritty alternative to winmo or apple.
My only knowledge of android comes from what I have seen online + Rumors. However I completely get what Jrovay is saying for the first time in a while I am actually excited about an event where they official announce the release of a new product and software. Apple holds events all the time where they show moderate improvements to there products and apple fanboys go crazy over it(Not all just the really rabid ones).
.....oh and one more thing since it is on T-mobile and we are starved for a decent smartphone and this like a double whammy since it is both a new OS and anew smartphone. It could suck but for 199(I will pay full price) it is a worthy risk.
Keyword: Apple.
Many virgin males are fans of the vagina, but have yet to observe one.
I'm excited to see how it looks and acts in a production unit. From most everything that I've see thus far, the OS has lacked a certain polish. But I feel the same way about Windows Mobile and it is successful (and even has it's own fanboys).
I like the idea behind Android - I just hope that it is executed well.
Mr Green Android man would be a Canadian on South Park.
"Come, Google; let's hunt for treasure!"
or God?
Where in NYC is this going to be held? Is it open to the public?
When come back, bring pie.
I thought all Tuesday's were Apple days :-)
Great! Can't wait.... I hope we see something that delightfully surprises us :)
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
AERRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!
I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE SERENITY NOW!!!!!!!!!!
PS..... Does anyone know if it supports UMA???
I know its 3G but.... hot dang .... 3G AND UMA?!?!?! Oh lord... i cant handle this.
GPS?? BT??? any specs????
GPS has, in a round about way, been confirmed. See the youtube from a UK presentation earlier this week. BT is a hard yes as well. beyond that the specs are questionable for now.

Again all with a grain of salt. My biggest concern is rumors of 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM. Of course we have also heard, as the above link references, 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM. Ifs its the former I'm concerned. the latter less so. Oh and micro SD support as well.
Honestly, why would ANYONE, use T-Mobile?
I'm on tmo and I actually love it... was on Sprint before and I like tmo way better... My bill is way less for my unlimited data plan, and since tmo piggy backs on everyone else' network, you get great reception everywhere. And now that they're rolling out 3G and are supporting Android and HTC... what's not to like?
Because we have brain and know better :-) May I ask who do you ride on?
KillerSiafu:
It is not true that T-Mobile piggy-backs on everyone else's network. However, because they, like AT&T and most international carriers, use GSM (sans compatible 3G), you will get "roaming" coverage outside of T-Mo's reach. (In theory, as an AT&T customer, you will also be able to use T-Mobile's network for roaming, but it is very hard to find a place with only T-Mobile coverage.. :-)
It is patently false, for instance, that you'd ever use a T-Mobile phone on Verizon or Sprint/NexTel's networks - since these use incompatible technologies (CDMA, iDEN).
For 3G, T-Mobile has only its own network to offer though, since it uses frequencies that are different from AT&T's (and also different from international carriers).
tmobile has the greatest customer serivce I have ever experienced (ahem!). I used to be on tmobile before I moved to att for the iphone... att customer service agents sound like kids who need to handled tactfully unless you want them to completely fcuk up your service account.
1. Because its the cheapest 3G around.
2. their customer support doesn't suck
3. random features don't show up on your bill
4. Random $900 charges don't show up on your bill, or $250 for another user.
5. they don't price peck you to death with addon features.
6. Tethering doesn't cost more.
7. Its not Sprint
8. Its not Verizon.
9. And thank god its not ATT/Crapular.
feel free to comment on each one. But there it is. I've been on all of these carriers due to business phones over the years. T Mobile by far has given me the least headaches.
seriously, i cannot remember ever wanting something so badly. i have been ravenously following every peep on the webs about this phone. c'mon, already....
It would be nice if you could always post the time of the events in UTC (in addition to your regular).
thank you
First event I've looked forward to in a while...tired of the One More Thing lameness.
Hmm, I somehow doubt this puppy will penetrate the RDF (reality distortion field). Instead, it will attract people who are looking for actual features (not just fluff).
Wouldn't it then be the FDF? Fluffy Disruption Field?
I'm really excited about this phone...please let it be great! Its either this or the iphone and I'd rather stick with tmobile.
Hey guys -- it would be nice if you posted this stuff on engadgetmobile too. No offense but it's usually the only form of Engadget I read. And, ya know, this is kind of related to mobile stuff.
$150 instead of $199?
I hope this thing isn't hyped to hell. It'll disappoint some peope, but not as much as if it was hyped. I hope it's a smooth release as well. I'm honestly a little excited about what Android will bring in terms of innovation, but at the same time I know it's going to take a while for googles OS to catch up to Symbian, Windows Mobile and even OSX. And as an iPhone owner I would love for Android to give my iPhone OS a run for it's money, competition is the only thing that'll convince any company to bring more to the table.
Anyone else notice that the Android logo looks like that little monster thing from Ben Croshaw's "Zero Punctuation" series?
This had better be worth the hype we've paid.
