AgfaPhoto DC-1338sT touch screen digital camera
Let's hope Agfa brings more to Photokina than the 1338sT, because otherwise it's going to be a pretty lonely booth. The 10 megapixel camera isn't quite the top of the line, even with the 3-inch touchscreen: smile detection, face tracking, and a low-res YouTube video mode aren't exactly huge selling points -- especially for €179 ($265). The non-touchscreen DC-1338i version has been available in the States for a while now, so the morbidly curious can expect to see this bad boy at a Walgreens sometime in the future.

Wow. I thought they got out of the digital camera business 10 years ago.

We seem to be aproaching the point where it's cheaper to build touch screen devices than it is to build actual buttons. Personally, I hate touchscreens. They never seem to work correctly for me.

Hi,
since I am still with Agfa (in the Healthcare business) I want straigthen some things: This is NOT an Agfa camera. Indeed the photography business was sold by Agfa 5 years ago and later went bancrupt. The only thing that survived (maybe intentionally) is the Agfaphoto (see the small difference) brand name, which now is sold by a small holding to whoever wants it. So this is a no-name camera from a cheap vendor who bought the Agfaphoto brand. Nothing special to expect. BTW: I own a Fuji f50fd (couldn't get hold of f30 anymore).
So I'd recommed: Get a real brand or buy something real cheap.
