Exactly, when it comes to the iPhone, they at least put forth the effort to make up news.
ignign0kt @ Sep 22nd 2008 9:36PM
Too bad that's the ugliest phone ever made. Otherwise I'd be excited about this.
tyler @ Sep 22nd 2008 9:40PM
I can think of at least 6 phones that are uglier.
TheAzureKnight @ Sep 22nd 2008 9:46PM
Wow lowranked for saying the truth...
Android fanboys indeed...
Sorry but this phone is just plain awful from a visual standpoint.
phanbouy @ Sep 22nd 2008 9:53PM

TheAzureKnight @ Sep 22nd 2008 9:45PM
I hope all the anti apple people will be satisfied with the live blogging...
AutumnBringer @ Sep 22nd 2008 10:35PM
Not unless they have a video for the unboxing in each of the aforementioned cities :P
(I'm not all super anti-Apple or anything, just saying).

I, for one, am looking forward to the introduction of the Android. I'm not in the market, because I tend to keep my phones for at least 3 years, but Google is more innovative than the vast majority of companies out there. What we see tomorrow will be a peek into the future of all smartphones.
And if I happen to be too busy at work, well then, I won't see the news. Or if I get bored of Android news, I'll do something else with my time.

kinda sad for Google that we have to be told "don't forget". Imagine being told "don't forget about the iPhone event tomorrow!"...
De @ Sep 22nd 2008 10:35PM
they did it for the ipods ...I cant remember for the iphone.
TheAzureKnight @ Sep 22nd 2008 9:49PM
Quick question....cuz I'm really curious if all this craze/hype surrounding Android and the "Dream" or G1 as it will be call will actually translate into real business.
How many of you Engadget readers will be switching to T-Mobile because of this phone? I'm guessing a lot of T-Mobile customers will upgrade but I'm really curious as to whether current Sprint, Verizon, or AT&T customers will jump on board with T-Mobile because they feel that strongly about Android as a OS platform...
Personally I'm waiting for the Touch HD...whatever carrier has that phone with 3G capabilities will be my company...hopefully it's Sprint.

I really wish they had ommited that odd part with the 4 or 5 dedicated buttons, in terms of looks the 1St Generation iPhone PWNS it.
steven @ Sep 22nd 2008 10:48PM
No, the back of the iPhone with the silver back and black bottom looks absolutely hideous. And the chrome looks tacky on the iPhone. But it's not a looks contest, it's about functionality. The iPhone OS is locked down and Android is open.

Geez, first the Adobe CS4 event, then the Android event, tomorrows gonna be awesome!
XChrisX @ Sep 22nd 2008 10:16PM
It's a shame Google / HTC couldn't have got Android going on the new Touch HD. Now THAT would have been the real iPhone killer!
Stephanie Jobs @ Sep 22nd 2008 10:39PM
Hopefully it will be a Steve Jobs style keynote... otherwise the device would be a fail.
eNrique @ Sep 22nd 2008 10:59PM
