Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I finally got a new laptop with a lone USB 3.0 port. I'm now looking at getting a USB 3.0 hub with a power adapter so I can use both of my USB 3.0 hard drives at faster speeds. I've read lots of horror stories where some hubs either don't come with power adapters -- and as a consequence the portable drives don't work with them properly -- or they are designed poorly which results in USB 2.0 speeds. Or, the hard drives keep getting disconnected. Do your readers have any suggestions or experience using USB 3.0 hubs? Thanks!"
Just a quick question. How do Apple know if your app is malicious? Do you have to submit source code for the revue?
Yes, you give them the source for review, once approved they build your app from that source
for distro on the app store.
And sometimes "malicious" can mean "Your app is clearly much better than ours so we are gonna reject you but steal your source code and make our own." Ugh.
ou have to give the source code to apple?? that is ridiculous. i knew they were putting limitations on to store, but i had no idea you had to give up your source too.
engadget and other tech blogs really drop the hype for this product, and now they are sitting in the shit they helped create.
I think you are wrong Chris. You don't submit source code to apple ever. You submit a compressed binary. Whether they have stuff to reverse engineer that to the code I don't know, but they never have your raw source code.
There is _NO_ source code needed to be sent to Apple. Enough with FUD, please. I have no idea how they can see if an app is malicious or not, it's probably a clause they can use to reject/ban it from the store if there are any complaints/concerns.
Also, comments about "your app will get rejected because it's better than Apple's" should get their own threads. I don't see how spamming and polluting that everywhere will enhance the discussion. Don't think Apple will listen to you if you're immature.
