Rock Band and Guitar Hero now for girls, too

According to recent statistics, girls can like, totally rock now. Thankfully, PDP has teamed up with Radio Disney mainstays Aly & AJ to create some seriously rockin' game controllers for the PS2 and Wii. Due out mid-October and priced at a rockin' $69.99, tweenage Guitar Hero and Rock Band fans can choose either the rockin' pink Tele-looking guitar with red skull and crossbones motif, or the totally rockin' pink heart-shaped guitar with purple zebra print. I'm not sure if I'm offended, but I do drive a black Cobalt LT2 coupe. It was an affordable new car with good acceleration and handling, passable fuel economy for a domestic, and good crash-safety ratings. Parts are cheaper and easier to find than they were for my old Volkswagen, which is nice because I do my own maintenance and minor swaps. I'm not sure if girly girls would really like it though, because the visor mirrors aren't lighted. It also has tons of trunk space, including plenty of room for my real guitar, banjo, and horn. (Will they ever make Horn Star? There are tons of killer horn solos out there.)
On the controls, I think these things are aimed at the Hannah Montana set...who else would even know who those girls are?

On a more serious note, all this hoopla about Guitar Hero/Rock Band/ChristianRockExtravaganzaGameThing reminds me of Beanie Babies and such. It's like this huge craze, until the market becomes overly saturated and no one cares anymore because there is no innovation.

Right on! I'd been unaware that rock band was not for girls before this! Silly me, thinking I could play on a standard guitar! No one notified me I had to wait for the pink version! I mean, I had thought that since a girl was on the development team for this, that it automatically meant girls were allowed....
Now if they had mentioned Rock Band had become girl friendlier by adding more songs with female vocalists, that would be something!
But pink guitars? please.

Rockband can be for girls definitely, but not GH3. The skanky outfits and stupid background dancing girls in cages is extremely offensive and every girl I know who plays GH/RB hates that stuff. Personally I also find it lame. Neversoft / Activision are frucking moron a$$holes.

What is truly 'rockin' is I am so proud that I have no idea who the hell these people are.
I think these are intended for the college party circuit. The majority of girl gamers are going to vomit upon first glance of these monstrosities, but I can very well see this appealing to sorority girls who are partying at the frat house. But the question still remains: who the hell is going to buy these Barbie guitars?
This is just silly. Everybody knows there's no such thing as girls...
