We've seen Ferrari's logo and lacquer applied to everything from
GPS nav systems to
overpriced clock radios, each product diluting the brand that Enzo built bit by bit. Acer is the most common enabler, and its latest prancing horse-decal'd product is the F-22bid, a 22-inch LCD sporting a 1680 x 1050 resolution and a
racy (sorry) 2ms gray-to-gray response rate. Brightness is the standard 300cd/m2, though a contrast ratio of 20,000:1 impresses, and VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs mean it should easily connect to just about all of your headless video outputting devices -- but at what cost? Acer isn't telling, and with only 500 of these being built, we're not expecting affordability here.
Update: Jody commented to let us know that a seemingly identical, but apparently non-limited-edition version of this monitor is available right now
at NewEgg for just $309.

no but it is the perfect compliment to your ferrari Acer laptop or the F430 DEsktop computer

No. It's just sad that Ferrari puts they're logo on mediocre electronics.
Even the optional huge Ferrari badge you can put on the fender of your 430 is tacky as hell.
This is just over the top.
If you can't afford a Ferrari or Lamborghini, GET OVER IT. Getting tacky gear with these logos slapped on is embarrassingly tacky.

I have the non Ferrari branded version of the F-20 and its an amazing monitor so im sure this will be as well. Im sure they will have an exact same model out just without the branding sometime as well.
Hey i'll actually say it looks nice, the red accent compliments the gloss black very well, especially since it is not all over the thing (or completely red)
On the other hand 500 being built.. I have a feeling it will JUST be out of my price range.

I hope you realise that quoted "contrast ratio"s on displays have very little bearing on the actual performance of the display itself. Right?

I don't doubt that it "sounds like a jet." The Acer x223w (22") I got from Circuit City on Black Friday last year has a noticeable high-pitched hum from the back. I would have returned it if I didn't nab the thing for $160 AR.
