How stupid. Why does Apple continue to use Al? The Magnesium alloy used by many other laptops (namely Thinkpads) makes for a stronger shell, and a more durable overall computer.

as far as im concerned, thinkpads are ugly.
Actually the Next Cube back in the 90s was made out of magnesium, but i think they use aluminum
now because it is lighter than magnesium.

Missed the beat Apple. All the next-gen wide body airliners are made of a composite. Aluminum is last year.
iBook had a magnesium internal frame. I'm guessing Apple decided Magnesium was a poor choice for a case exposed to the elements :)
