Razer rolls out Lycosa Mirror, Arctosa gaming keyboards

It's been almost exactly a year since Razer introduced its Lycosa gaming keyboard and it looks like the company's decided to celebrate by rolling out a new, slightly updated model. From the looks of it, the Lycosa Mirror (pictured above) is identical in most respects to its predecessor, with the exception of a new high-gloss mirror finish on the keys (as opposed to rubber), and some "enhanced backlighting." Those looking to head in the opposite direction can also now opt for Razer's new Arctosa keyboard (check it after the break), which does away with the backlighting and non-slip rubber finish altogether but hangs on to the usual programmable macro and media keys. You can look for it to be available in both silver on black and black on black versions for $50 next month, while the Lycosa Mirror will set you back $80 when it lands in December.

I ordered one a couple weeks ago, and even though they fixed the first batch of these, I still got one of the first batch somehow. Thanks new egg, for not returning the ones you had in stock after the recall. Mine arrived with floating keys, now when I press one of the few, no matter how clean my fingers are, they keys lift off. Slightly inconvenient. Touchpad does not work at all. I'd RMA it, but I've gotten so used to typing on this keyboard, that I can't stand to type on anything else for the 3 weeks it'd take to send in, and get back. It's BS that you have to pay extra money for receiving broken products. And does anyone know where to get a contact number, or email for razer? I've looked their site up and down, they have a contact support section, but it just takes you to FAQ sections, and the 'click here to send an email' link doesn't even do anything. On the bright side, the keyboard is dead sexy on my desktop, matches my death adder and n52te perfectly. Make sure you get one of the new batch, or you'll be paying for fancy features that do not work.

Would be a great addition to my games

I'm curious to see how it would compare to the Logitech keyboard I have. I've been mostly Logitech for a few years but I've been curious about Razer ever since my friend was sponsored by them.
Engadget Rocks!
Yeeah! I just replaced my no-longer trusty ol' Northgate keyboard with an extended Apple keyboard yesterday...now I'm wishing I had backlights!
Who want's one?
I do I do I do!
Wow. I really need this please.
Razer is a great company...
Interesting how no one has a solution for the world economy...
world economy, get rid of Obama, that will fix a lot
Please Please send this to me...
Hope i win!
I'm in need of a new one too.
I Just got mine in the mail last night and i absolutely love it. i bought the mirror with the new razer mamba mouse, which i ahve to say is the most badass mouse ever. the keyboard is very responsive, non of that "sh*t ddnt press down hard enough" business. thought the plastic feeling keys are a bit weird, but im getting used to them. macros on every key is an absolute dream! and the LEDs are bright enough to stand out against the reflection your monitor will put on the shiny new keys. the only complaint i ahve, is that its been a day, and alrdy the thing is COVERED in fingerprints. though i guess a little polish would fix that...love it, and GET THE MAMBA!!!!!!! id tell u about it but not the right forum.
A lot of people think engadget is giving this away...
My antidote for jump starting the world economy?
Take down engadget so people can finally start getting some work done! (like me)
I sure could use one. Would make getting canned a bit more fun while gaming and looking for a job...in that order
Razor makes some great gaming devices. That keyboard would match my mouse.
Much better looking than my nasty stock keyboard.
