T-Mobile G1 and Sony Ericsson X1 seen side-by-side, molten lava hangs head in shame
There's really no denying it -- T-Mobile's G1 and Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X1 are two of the hottest mobiles around right now, and as predicted, all sorts of sparks flew when the two sat down for a side-by-side photo session. In a Dutch comparison of the two handsets, reviewers pointed out that the G1 was "significantly larger" than the SE counterpart, and while it's completely subjective, they also asserted that the X1 was a "true piece of art in comparison to the dusty look of the G1 [nice one, Google Translator]." Do yourself a favor and check out the whole thing in the read link.

Anyone know for sure if the X1 will have an accelerometer and Tv-Out?
Xperia has no accelerometer and no TV-Out. These are basics that the X1 should have. Might have to go with Touch Pro. Doen't look as nice but it doesn't lack any of these.
But would you trade a headphone jack and 800x480 for no headphone jack and 640x480?
Thats the real question.
Remember, TouchFlo3D will no doubt be ported to other phones, which is why i still have the X1 high on my list. No accelerometer is a PITA, but since the TouchHD (or the God phone) is not coming to North America, the X1 has become my fallback phone.

The first guy said "use excel for work schedules" are you kidding, excel...? How about iCal on the iPhone, an actual calendar that you can syn from your Mac or even a Windows PC (Outlook). Thats productivity. Not excel on your small phone screen.
I agree, next to the x1 the G1 looks pretty cheap... although most phones will... the x1 is sexy. I think the G1 looks cheaper than most phones, though.
However, if you type on each, you might start to get the opposite opinion... the x1 keyboard blows. I was going to get an x1 until I typed on it.
i shall be purchasing an x1 reguardless of price. been a SE fan since the T300. Guess that makes me a fanboy, but whatever. The X1 is a beautiful phone and unless the c905 is released before it, i'll be an x1 first adopter.
Hey guys, sorry for the super long comment, I started and finished and did not realize it was that long after I hit "add comment"
To the guy above about using excel for schedules...My work makes their schedules using excel so they can print them out and email them to the employees. I work in a Urgent Medical Care facility, so its not a normal 9-5 job. Having excel on my phone is very useful for when I get the new schedules emailed to me so I can check it out. Once I get to a computer and can see it on a larger screen, I then transfer it to my outlook calendar manually.
windows mobile is garbage......get an iphone or G1 and use Google Documents....cant coach that
