Logitech intros Cordless Vantage Microphone for Xbox 360 and PS2 / PS3
Think that bundled Rock Band / High School Musical Sing It! mic is totally weak sauce? Ready to drop $79.99 in order to prove it? If so, have a gander at Logitech's latest, the Cordless Vantage Microphone. Crafted to work with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 consoles, this AA (x2) powered device comes with a USB receiver and stand and supports a handful of titles including Boogie, American Idol Encore and the games we mentioned at the top. It'll be available this December, just in time for you to succumb to high prices for the sake of having something to shove under the tree.

Lord! No!
Woof! First time I say this about Logitech, though I love them, but this one is too expensive for what it is. Put it for $40 with rechargeable battery at least.
Would be cool if you could connect a Shure (brand that I can remember of) mic to a 360/PS3/Wii and get it working. I wonder...
the economy is down, hopefully this thing will be onsale pretty soon
Heh. The windscreen is exactly like a Sure SM58. Probably the single most iconic vocal microphone of the last 25 years. I wonder two things... Does the SM58 windscreen count as trade dress, which makes it probable that Logitech is gonna get a beatin'? And can you use this thing as a hammer like you can with the original?
Nice. That was the first thing I noticed. Definitely puts this mic #1 in terms of real-ness.
SM58 ripoff.
I was about to comment that that thing Sure looks like an SM58!
You could do worse if it works the same, but aren't there better alternatives to emulate nowadays?
i think you meant to say "it shure looks like an SM58..."
What about the Wii!? If it's just a USB to wireless bridge, it should be platform independent.
Testing, Is This Thing On???
It sounds cool but surely there must be cheaper option?
Now I just need two turntables.
I thought for a second that was a Shure mic. I only have one question, does it work with SingStar? If not, forget it.
