Motorola's Q11 gets official: WinMo 6.1, WiFi, 3MP camera
Not that Motorola's Q11 comes as any big surprise, but it's nice to see the Windows Mobile 6.1-packin' smartphone get all official on us. Now boasting its very own dedicated page on Moto's website, the Q11 comes to us with quad-band GPRS / EDGE (no 3G, for whatever reason), a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, 64MB of RAM, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1, a 320 x 240 resolution display, integrated GPS and a multimedia player with support for all sorts of file formats. You can also expect up to 450 minutes of talk time and up to 195 hours in standby, but you won't be able to wrap your paws around it until December. As for carriers and pricing? Patience, friends, patience.

This isn't offering anything new in terms of technology, so I hope it offers something good in terms of price.
ya, it just seems like a rehash of the same-o, and no 3G? If anything ditch the wifi, if you had to choose one over the other.
If this was the same price as the Blackberry i would get the Blackberry...
Finally, Motorola is putting out some good ideas. A great camera, with Wifi, and one of the best rated keyboards of all smartphones. This is the way Motorola can get more sales.
At this point, I think any sales would be an improvement in Moe-toe cellular sales.
what's so great about that camera?
I bet a decent 0.5MP camera could take better pics than that
are you being serious? This is straight out of 2001.
In Brazil will cost R$ 899 (US$390 today), without contract.

Check again, foo.
What?
Wow. Your comments are so annoying!
They still just don't get it...
shame-
Still a krapppie phone. WiFi or no.
@crazyfishmolester
www.youtube.com = where you should have stayed.
Looks like the TMo Dash (whoever that's made by).
The original Q looks much nicer. Oh and the screen is still off center for some reason.
What's with the off-center screen?
it's no blackberry...
Serioüsly, that's über annoying...
You know what's funny about this is that after the Q and the Q9 and now the Q11, Motorola still can't center the screen. hehe.
Q9 screens are centered. So is Q. It's just this one, presumably for icons on the side
What a horrible phone , come back with an sd slot, and wide screen , maybe 6 megapixel cam
Where the hell did 6mp camera come from?
They also shifted the number keys, the 1 used to be lined up on the w. I wonder why they did that. Other then that it looks to be the same keyboard type as the q9c, which was a really nice one.
The 1 key is on the E on the Q9H also. It's so the 5 is on the F, which is where the little nub needs to be (check your pc's keyboard and you'll see it also has a nub on the 5 for homerow).
Wow, what happen to Motorola? They use to be the innovator when it came to smartphones, well at least a few years ago.
Way to step up your game and show Apple, HTC and RIM who is boss.
Yay, they finally solved what irked me the most about the buttons on the original Q, with the left/right soft key, talk, end, back and home buttons being flush to the screen. Good job guys... only took two years.
I have the Verizon Q9m which is actually a decent phone for what I paid.
As for the Q11, this adds virtually nothing of importance considering the competition from HTC and Blackberry and even LG and Samsung. And the screen seems even more off-center than the previous versions; blah. I predict Moto will be out of the phone business soon.
I agree. Just a redesigned Q9 with a slightly better camera.
Thank God they got rid of the RAZR-style control keys
3MP Cam and optional microSD card up to 32GB are it's best features IMO.
oh and the 3.5mm plug for headphones
Though it does seem pointless, they'll be some people out there that will like this device. Personally I find it strange in this day and age that a smartphone isn't packing 3G. But knowing Motorola, there will be a 3G version out soon hopefully, because I doubt this will help their sales.
The photo wreaks of Photoshop.... It's not even centered and the UI is not consistent in coloring. Get an official photo Engadget?
You'd betta check yo' self befo' you wreck yo' self.
Oh wait, already happened.
Am I the only person concerned about the screen resolution-Windows Mobile combination?

pretty sure the pic is not from that loser in his moms basement photoshop'n and posting on the web.
the very logo of Start button makes me feel that it's going to be a very slow journey, going to take long time to do anything, need to wait frustratingly long time, depressingly slow...could any psychologist tell me what I'm suffering from? will the cell phone manufacturers ever hide this button and menus ?
Looks like an innovative cellphone from a forward thinking company.
NOT!
Decent specs... But it looks horrible !! Some visual changes and then its perfect!!
