ZTE's TU25 becomes first USB modem for Sprint's XOHM WiMAX network
Not too keen on snatching your WiMAX via ExpressCard? Fret not, as ZTE's TU25 (which was leaked early last month) is fast approaching. Hailed as the only USB modem available (and certified, no less) for the launch of the XOHM network, the TU25 presumably allows users to plug it into a spare USB port, wave a magic wand and begin surfing the mobile broadband superhighway in Baltimore (and a few other places, we hear). There's a frighteningly small amount of details on this thing right now, but hopefully we'll have some of the more crucial aspects (price, release date, etc.) sooner rather than later.

As you know, last week XOHM went live in Baltimore. Today, we have more news about XOHM ready devices and wanted our XOHM Insiders to be among the first to know.
At XOHM, we've been working with our partners to build more devices to get you online with XOHM. You can now buy laptop computers from Acer, Asus, Lenovo and Toshiba with XOHM WiMAX built right in, and later this month you'll be able to buy the XOHM USB and the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet WiMAX Edition.
By the end of this year, even more XOHM ready laptops are expected to be out from Acer, Asus, Lenovo and Toshiba. And next year, Dell and Sony plan to have XOHM ready laptops for sale. That means you'll now have even more choices in how you want to get online with XOHM.
I went to the lenovo site and you can NOW order the Intel WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 card for laptops!!!!!!!!
Canoo @ Oct 8th 2008 11:39AM
veryy cool indeed
eric @ Oct 9th 2008 11:54AM
I am looking everywhere for the 5350 card. I tried to find it on the lenovo website but couldn't. Could you please send me the link?

No OS X makes it useless for me too. XOHM looks great but with not one single product that supports OS X I'll never use it.
Kandalom @ Oct 8th 2008 3:12PM
Why are the descriptions in Japanese?
paul-engadget @ Oct 8th 2008 4:52PM
whatever happened to that Motorola wimax usb device featured here only a little while ago?

wow. ZTE. enjoy your fail.
We've had 6 MF332 cards die on us, as for their useless cellphones, i'd sooner throw it at someone than use it.
JTtech @ Oct 10th 2008 6:58PM
XOHM does work with OS X. I work with them, and the ZyXEL modems for the XOHM WiMax network are Mac-compatible.
