I'd love to see the touch screen. iMac Touch. Sickness. Compete with that HP Touch crapper.
So, I'm going to dream and say that someone brings a dual core netbook to market with a reasonable price (sub 500, 400 would be really nice).
touchscreen, wimax would be nice, but not if it hurts the price
I don't give a crap about the OS as long as I can change it if need be.
Storage should be over 10 gigs, and ram would ideally be in the 1 gig area.
battery life should not be anemic, but I don't plan on taking the thing camping, maybe just a 3 hour flight.
what manufacturing process is used and the grade of aluminum is really just extra information I have to read through.
Apple if you do this before anyone else I will buy one of your products. I realize that you comb through engadget looking for posters who have not purchased your products in the past to see what would perused them, so I figure this advise will be useful.
remember, Price and that extra core to make multitasking just a bit more plausible.
I predict that Steve Jobs will come out to say that he is part of the Federation of Light. Meteor, Comet, UFO? You judge.
I was just at the Apple Campus this afternoon! I almost crapped myself i was in such awe :D
BTW, their food OWNS.
$50 says it's an Apple netbook with some type of fancy name, along with some other stuff, possibly redesigned laptops. Subtract a bunch of features, and ratchet up the price, and you will have Apple's netbook.
Looks like I'm going to avoid Engadget all day tomorrow.
C'mon, you know we wouldn't miss this. We're going to be live and direct from Apple's "spotlight turns to notebooks" event in Cupertino.
I wouldn't expect anything less from the biggest apple fanboys on the planet. Why is it that every new POS that apple releases is treated like manna from heaven? I mean really, it's just another overpriced, over hyped piece of shit from apple, nothing more, nothing less.

Hi. A Mac Netbook doesn't make sense, coz' that would still be expensive and Apple promised the next product is gonna' be revolutionary like the iPhone; another clamshell with a keyboard and multi-touch pad isn't that revolutionary. It's really got to be a 7" multi-touch tablet with accelerometers and a new addition to the App Store.
