RIM adding touchscreen to Bold-like QWERTY, US bound HSDPA Storm in May?
Boy Genius is fleshing-out those next-gen BlackBerry rumors this morning. According to the very early buzz from his sources, BGR says that we should be looking at a new Storm capable of riding US HSDPA frequencies after its expected unveiling at the WES2009 show which starts May 5th. RIM's also rumored to be working on a Bold-like QWERTY of Javeline / Curve 8900-size with an honest-to-goodness touchscreen baked right in. Mmm, baked BlackBerries.

They should have done this to the bold in the first place!!! Nevermind.

That really is one of the worst photo-choped "rumour" pics I've seen in a while!

I think it's just something thrown together to illustrate the point, not something that was meant to have come from RIM.
But I dunno

Its been delayed so long they need to bump up the specs. I will take a 5megapixel built in cam , wifi, 3g, bluetooth, and qwerty and i am sold

Speaking of baked Blackberries, their next flagship phone should use some circular LCD tech and then they can call it the Blackberry Pie :')

RIM you are pushing my buttons... at a medium pace

IF this is true, BIG IF judging by the picture, then I'd definitely consider it. The Bold isn't enough of an upgrade for me, from the Pearl, and I hate not having a physical keyboard (so forget the Storm). But again, I'm on CDMA so this may be out of the question anyways..

I wonder how Brick Breaker is played on the touch screen.

this is obviously fake and hopefully meant to be that way. looks like lens blur filter with too much grain added.

that is how rim posts their pictures internally on insite, their intranet. Although usually it has a CONFIDENTIAL watermark slapped diagonally across it...

This is supposed to be a "Bold Like" qwerty keyboard & touchscreen version?

If this is a true to life device, I can see me jumping on this ship vs the Storm. I am a physical keyboard kind of guy and adding the touchscreen with no trackball could be cool. The next 8-9 months will be interesting. The Bold never really had my attention vs the Javelin other then 3G capabilities. RIMM keep em coming.

"May 22" is a little odd to me... why have a perfect spy photo and sit on it for nearly 5 months (this is the interweb, after all...).
