What's taking Apple? The Engadget Podcast is *only* one of the most popular.
It takes them a while to clear it for distribution, just like apps. I guess they need to make sure it isn't "explicit" or whatever.
But it isn't like this podcast came out of nowhere. It used to be on the air, and they only "disabled" it.
agreed still waiting! im too lazy to download it manually every time!
how do i download?
Strata will be nuts. :)
You guys should've also reference the original 6.1 break: http://www.aeroxp.org/2008/10/introducing-windows-7/
:P
More cats, japanese tech, and engadget than ever!!!
i cant believe you guys didnt even mention that the 2.0ghz macbook dosnt have a backlit keyboard and the 2.4ghz one does. that really pissed me off. who in apple decided: "lets not give a backlit keyboard to the basic macbook". i just dont see why they would do that!!!!
Buhu, cry me a river.
Is it Engadgets role to cover all bits and pieces of all kinds of information and specifications for all of things on earth?
ha!
Seriously? That's a bit crap.
If you've never used a laptop without active lighting you might not appreciate what a great feature it is. Weak.
Great work you guys! I enjoyed last week's episode and am sure going to enjoy this. Keep up the good work.
P.S: Is it just me or do anyone else feel the overjoy and kind of special feeling to see that Zune link up there without having an iTunes or Apple link? Just saying. No war intentions. :)
Them's fightin' words!
Oh yeah, to add it to iTunes:
1. Right click the "RSS MP3" link
2. Click "Copy Link Location" (or something similar)
3. In iTunes, click "Advanced" then click "Subscribe to Podcast..."
4. Right-click in the white box, then click "Paste"
Thanks Backlin - worked a treat.
Yay! A Zune download link. Nice to see you guys are supporting people beyond the iPod.
The Zune download link says EngadgetHD on it. Use this and it'll say Engadget:
zune://subscribe/?Engadget=http://podcasts.engadget.com/rss.xml
Zune support!? That's awesome. Thanks for that.
Why not to put the download link directly on this page? Just like Engadget HD. save us a click...please.
Plz add a ogg vorbis version to download
What is with the audio quality? Every time someone talks they echo really bad! Maybe Skype was a bad idea...
The Lenovo T400 does not require you shut down any apps to switch graphics cards.
Just click a button, you get 2 screen flickers and you are good to go.
Just an FYI... I have one.
Podcast 106 - "people like discs"
Your discussion about Apple not jumping on the Blue-ray bandwagon sees a little shortsighted when you followed it up with a discussion about the brilliance of Netflix's download model. Apple is investing in the media future by developing wireless-n and a simple download structure. People like "clean" fast technology that hints at the possibility of a "glamorous" wireless media center.
Blue-ray should have much less market time than DVDs given the rate of advancement. Look at the timeframe for Records, Cassettes, CDs, MP3 (downloads).
A smart company, like Netflix and Apple, will provide support for old technology (discs) while moving toward new (downloadable content) technology.
Imagine if Netflix and iTunes become compatable.
