Is the Palm Treo Pro coming to Sprint?

Back in late August, we heard whispers that a CDMA Treo Pro could be in the works. Since then, we haven't heard a peep on any progress.... until now, that is. The eagle-eyed mobile mavens over at WMExperts happened to notice a peculiar "Sprint Treo850e" sucking down 160kbps with .229s of latency on the spcsdns.net network while checking out mobile speed tests. No surprise that the Treo 850 is better known as the Treo Pro, but finding that one is sneaking around on Sprint somewhere is. C'mon Sprint, how's about a joint release with the Touch Pro?

TBH, i've ran benchmarks on mspeed before, from my TyTn, on ATT, with a domain that showed up as myvzw.com, so it is not impossible that this is just a screwup on dslreports domain lookup.

I'm just happy to see Dan Hesse is finally moving sprint to get some cutting edge phones... finally showing up Verizon like they have been doing to Sprint for the past 3+ years.

I WORK FOR SPRINT AND THERE IS A SKU FOR THE DEVICE IN THE SYSTEM
PTR850HK....YAY FOR SPRINT....HOPEFULLY IT DOES COME OUT QUICK...THERE HAVE BEEN SKUS BEFORE IN THE SYSTEM AND THEN THE DEVICE WOULD GET SHELVED...HOORAY SPRINT : )

omg i hate Verizon if this is true. they keep releasing all these stupid touch iphone knock off dumbphones when i would gladly pay full retail to upgrade to a Treo 800w or Pro from my Moto Q9c. i need me some WinMo Pro action cause this Standard just isnt cutting it anymore.

Any news on the Palm Pro being released to Sprint? I've asked customer service, but they're rather clueless. I hope it happens, or I just may switch providers for the Palm Pro.

I wrote Sprint and told them I'd leave them for AT&T if the latter gets the Pro first. I got a response (standard) but am enclosing it below in case anyone's interested (though it still doesn't answer my question....:
