RIM's BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 endures old fashioned tear down
Just because you're the elephant in the group, that doesn't mean you'll get away without suffering through the same humiliation that comes with being a hot new BlackBerry: dissection on camera. RIM's first flip phone has recently been disassembled by the curious minds over at SycotecSolutions, giving us all an up close and personal look at what makes the Pearl Flip 8220 tick. "Give the read link some of your undivided attention."
Yes, I will do that and then give the rest of my undivided attention to something else.

I thought the STS watermark was some strange wire-in-plastic thing attached to the mainboard, for some reason. "What on earth does that thing do?"
It only made sense after I clicked the read link.

Yep, I thought that same exact thing...didn't even give it a second thought until i tried to look for it when you mentioned it.

I still think the original pearl is better.

Don't hate on a phone you haven't tried!!! I played with one in a T-Mobile store and (being a Shadow/WM6 user) was immediately hooked. The interface is so much easier than the berry's OS 4.5, and the size of the phone works out perfectly when holding it.

Pictures are looking differet but those are good. RIM always gives some different to their users. That is why Blackberry handsets and Blackberry both are in demand. Browse http://www.fommy.co.uk/blackberry-accessories.htm for detail.
