Wait.. nobody else thinks product placement in laptops is going too far?? c'mon M&M's.. put the macbook down..
I'm not sure why I'd want to upgrade to this new MacBook. I have a 2.2 GHz polycarbonate (white) model, and it seems like the changes are mostly cosmetic (aluminum instead of polycarbonate), and in the graphics card. In fact, the two lower models have a slower CPU than my model from the end of last year, and they don't have the firewire port.
Oh, yeah, and trackpad gestures.
It's looking like the new MacBook is a step sideways (and back, in some respects), rather than a leap forward. I think I'll just spring for AppleCare on my older model.
pros:
Unibody construction = better construction, more rigid, less parts
5x better graphics
LED backlight
New look
mini-display port "capable of dual dvi out"
easier to swap HDD
cons:
no Firewire
harder to replace/upgrade RAM
mehs:
glossy screen only on both old and new 13" models
if you read the manual, its very clear. you must press option, command, f10 (twice), left arrow, then the 'n' button to get a 'b'
First the floppy disk drive and now the "B" key. Apple is always leading the way and cutting off what's unnecessary. Long live Apple! Long live the Macook Pro!
there is no "B" in engadget, so I'm good with it.

Yea.. u know.. you dont even need "photoshop" to do this one.. Some OLD outdated photo editor that can copy crop paste a select area with the nice little "strecth to size dotted box" can do this with nearly zero experience. I just did it for the h
believe it or not... that'll cost you extra.
this is obviously a photoshop, or a one time mess up. and even if it is real when you type the n key, you will still get a b.
More precisely, when you type the N you get a B, the first M gives you an N and the SECOND M gives you the M. Unless you are a great touch typist it is rather unsettling - but it is definitely not Photo Shop - I work with the person who purchased this unit. Maybe it was two people working from opposite sides laying out the key caps?
The title is onviously wrong. That is a MacNook! Durr..

The Macbook does not support firewire or B keys they are Pro features now!
it's not like the previous macbook had B keys or firewire.
Uhm I donno if you all notice it but they also misplaced the N. It should had been BNM and not NMM.
Apple knows the majority of our alphabetical characters will be replaced with numbers and ascii in the near future anyway.

C'mon this is clearly photoshop'ed. I just bought my brand nem macbook, mhich I am using nom and it looks and feels great in all mays.
this is a non issue. if u hit the M you'll still get a B so i don't see why everyone's complaining. you are the noom if you still have to look at your keymoard.
(i wonder what's worse, my slanted keymoard or the MM keymoard) ffs.
