BlackBerry Storm rumbles through the FCC
We're still sitting around waiting for an official release date from RIM, but perhaps this will help things along: the BlackBerry Storm has been OK'd by the FCC and is ready to send harmful radiation straight into your head. That's about all the info we've got from this fairy secretive approval report -- which doesn't even specify the name of the device -- but the label placement diagram shows off the back of the phone, with appropriate lines, button placement and world-roaming SIM slot that all point to Storm. "November-ish" can't come soon enough!

I'm looking forward to seeing this phone in person. I'm really looking for a device that has a good mobile web experience, but I don't want to swtich to AT&T for the iPhone. I do have the ipod Touch and I love it. Hopefully the mobile web will be somewhat similar to Apples. If not then I'll have to wait for an Android phone for VZW.

did you mean to say fairly secretive? Or is this a new engadget that prefers mystical creatures?
Drruih @ Oct 21st 2008 11:49AM
RIM is part of the gay mafia.

I think I'd really prefer a BB Bold, but will not switch to AT&T for crappy service. I have never had a dropped call with Verizon and don't plan to start. Hopefully the touch screen typing will not suck too much.

Storm launch party
Lets launch the Storm in style! We'll be holding a STORM LAUNCH PARTY on Wednesday, November 12th from 11 - 1 at Studio 2131. Four "experience stations" will be set up, as well as Subject Matter Experts to answer any questions you might have. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served.
also if you like the krave this is some news
No VZW Tones application on the Krave
Currently the new Moto Krave cannot receive ringtones via the VZW Tones download. Until that application is available, customers can go to mediastore.verizonwireless.com, login, and purchase ringtones. We do plan to have this application available in the near future.

I went this weekend and talked to my Verizon rep., and he told me it would be out on November 16. If all goes well with there training class it will come out a weed before that. He told forshore it will be $199 a possibly a little cheaper to compeat with the Iphone. It will also come with a 8GB microSD memory card in the box.

Nice. Hoping this can be a great phone.

I got to play with both the Bold & the Storm today. Very very nice. I am not an iPhone user, but as an existing Blackberry user, both the Storm & the Bold are very sexy. Form factor will be the only criteria in choosing which one is better. I think the Storm will be the winner.

But afterall RIM will find a solution for this. As RIM has made a reputation in the market. And Blackberry Storm has lots of function including touchscreen. That is why Blackberry Storm and Blackberry Storm accessories both are in great demand in the market. Browse http://www.fommy.co.uk/blackberry-accessories.htm for accessories of BB Storm. We are just waiting for the launching of this phone.

I'm wondering if Mobile TV will be available on the Storm?
