Aigo's stretchy USB speaker borrows sock technology to boom the bass
Mmm, elastic, is there anything you can't do? First it turned that quitter of a sock into a winner, now it promises to assist in producing "the deepest music" from an open Aigo E086 portable speaker. The 1.7 watt USB speaker features a single 36mm driver, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, and a 3-hour charge for up to 4 hours of usage. And hey, Cingular was done with that logo anyway. Yours in Japan for ¥2,580 or about 27 greenbacks.

Looks like an inferior version of Xmini Capsule Speaker (x-mini.com)
Something similar on Thinkgeek too. Bout the same price, but looks like it's made better.
Indeed, the X-minimax/ X-mini capsule speakers look better and are stereo too.

I bought one of those X-Mini speakers last year and it is great, this Aigo just looks like yet another clone.
Yes it's the x-mini i got mine from thinkgeek. They've been around forever, and it sounds amazing, its freaking loudddd.
@Hellios
Comments like that are why i like user commented news forums. Now I'm ordering the "real" ones :-)
Ty.
Another OEM, no creativity being made at all, even the look is the same, I am bored with these.
I've had mine for a year now. It was called "Hamburger". Bought in Malaysia. I'm pretty sure all of those are the same, 'made in china'. They are just made for different brands with small alterations, all by the chinese manufacturer.
Is the cost / usage worth that money?
I have seen this in Hong Kong for months now and they cost 12$(us) here.
It really loud for the size. I would get one:O
Heh, the old "Bank of Scotland" logo on the top.

i don't know why this is even news, I've had one of these things for over a year now.
Isn't Aigo a Chinese brand?
So you rub it and it pops up?
Would the model in black be larger?
Cut me some slack -- It's Friday...
This product is available at many places. It's even available as one of the accessories to the World's Cheapest Impulse Netbooks http://www.impulseglobal.com/accessories.php.
Got these speakers sold by two companies here in South Africa for about a year. Tivo sells it as ShoX and Divoom sells them as iTour-10.
I bought a tiny portable speaker like this in China last spring and it had a similar twist off cap for bass boost functionality. I guess I'm lucky it hasn't exploded in my face yet.
So THAT's what those regeneration capsules look like IRL... They're much bigger in Halo. ;)
I was just in China the other day and actually used one of these. It's not that bad, except for the fact that it can't get it's power from the device it's connected to (unless it's a laptop of course).
I love this one.It is cool and not pricey.I can bing it everywhere.
